Crochet Curtain Holder 4, Tunisian Crochet Flower, Bag Latkan, Keychain, Gift Item

 

Hello friends,

Here I made Tunisian crochet flower which is multipurpose. You can use it as a Keychain, Gift Item, Bag Latkan or as a Curtain Holder. So it is very interesting to make it. It's width is 3" and weight is 8 gm only so you can use any left over yarn for this. I used Orange yarn Ganga Olivia and white Vardhman Millenium. I made the flower having 5 petals but you can make similar flower having 6 petals. Hook 1.75 mm.

PATTERN: With white yarn make 

R1: ch1, sc5 in magic loop.

R2: ch1, (sc2) in each st, cl (10)

R3: ch1, (sc2) in each st, cl, BO (20).

 Join orange yarn at any st.

R1: ch1, sc1 in same st, ch5, from second ch YO, get 1 st from each ch (4), YO insert in sc-st, get 1 more st on hook, insert hook in last st, YO, get 1 st, one st is already on hook. So total 7 sts on hook. Then (YO pass through 2 sts) 6 times, 

R2: Little enlarge the working loop, (insert hook in back loop of st, YO, get 1 st) 6 times, insert hook in next white st, YO, get 1 st. (1st is initially on hook). Thus we have total 8 sts on hook. Then (YO pass through 2 sts) 7 times.

R3: Little enlarge the working loop, (insert hook in back loop of st, YO, get 1 st) 6 times, insert hook in same white st, YO, get 1 st. (1st is initially on hook). Thus we have total 8 sts on hook. Then (YO pass through 2 sts) 7 times.

R4: same as R2

R5: Little enlarge the working loop, (insert hook in back loop of st, YO, get 1 st) 6 times, insert hook in same white st, YO, get 1 st. (1st is initially on hook). Thus we have total 8 sts on hook. Then (YO pass through 2 sts) 5 times only, lastly YO pass through all the 3 sts on hook (for better shape). Thus here we decreased 1 st.

R6: Little enlarge the working loop, (insert hook in back loop of st, YO, get 1 st) 5 times, insert hook in same white st, YO, get 1 st. (1st is initially on hook). Thus we have total 7 sts on hook. Then (YO pass through 2 sts) 6 times. Lastly sl st in back loop of each st,  then sc 1 in next white st and make second petal.

Note that for one petal we have to use 4 sts. Hence in 20 sts we make 5 petals. Make two such flowers.

 Place wrong side of one flower on wrong side of other. Then insert tapestry needle in one st and front loop of other stitch and sew, go on in this way to sew 4 petals. Stuff some fiber and then sew last petal. The beautiful flower is ready.

Now if you want to make keychain or Bag Latkan then make 50 chs and sew to form a loop.

Then to make Curtain Holder, I attached two beads row each of 20 beads attached with pompom at last. Moreover make two cords of chs 70 each sew them to the flower and tie it to the curtain to hold it. So I hope that you will love to make such multipurpose cute gift item.
