Crochet Poopcorn with Cone:

Friends, We live in the era of Social media, we have thousands of friends. But are they real like? I am not denying the importance of social media friendship. Rather in this lock down corona period it's importance is underlined. But still we remember those days of chatting hours together with friends, singing songs (Antakshari) and eatting popcorn in between. Popcorn I always remember in this contest or in getting popcorn cone in the interval of a movie. When I remember this, I decided to make Popcorn-cone. Here is the pattern: Popcorn-cone Pattern: Make chs 12 with yellow yarn. In third ch make 3 incomplete dc, remove the hook, insert in first st and get the working loop out through this st,
ch2, sl st in the same st, (sc1 in next ch, ch2, incomplete dc 4 in the same ch,pass through the first dc-st, ch2, join by sl st at the same ch) this is called popcorn stitch. Make popcorns in each ch till end. BO keeping 7”-8” yarn end.
Now thread tapestry needle in that and pass through each alternate base ch. Pull the yarn to get all chs close and by making knot fix the yarn. The beautiful popcorn is ready.
Make as much as you want to fill the cone.
Cone: For cone I used white and pink yarn. We work 2 rounds with pink and two with white repeatedly. P: Pink and W: White R1: With Pink: In a magic loop make ch1, sc4, close the loop and also close by sl st in first sc. R2: sc 1 in each st (4) R3: with white: sc2 in each st, cl (8) R4: sc 1 in each st. Every even numbered round is same as sc 1 in each st, cl. Hence we only write odd numbered rounds. R5: P: (sc1 in 1 st, sc2 next) rep, ck (12) R7: W: (sc 1 in 2 sts, sc2 next) rep, (16)
R9: P: (sc1 in 3 st, sc2 next) rep, ck (20) R11: W: (sc 1 in 4 sts, sc2 next) rep, (24) R13: P: (sc1 in 5 st, sc2 next) rep, ck (28)
R15: W: (sc 1 in 6 sts, sc2 next) rep, (32) R17: P: (sc1 in 7 st, sc2 next) rep, ck (36) R19: W: (sc 1 in 8 sts, sc2 next) rep, (40) R21: P: (sc1 in 9 st, sc2 next) rep, ck 44) R23: W: (sc 1 in 10 sts, sc2 next) rep, (48) R25: P: (sc1 in 11 st, sc2 next) rep, ck (52) R27: W: (sc 1 in 12 sts, sc2 next) rep, (56) R29: P: (sc1 in 13 st, sc2 next) rep, ck (60) R30:P: sc 1 in each st. R31: sc 1 in each st by pink.
Fill the popcorns in it and enjoy. The following video with English subtitles may help you. ETC: Enjoy the Creativity.

Before decreasing stitches here we make roots, for that with light brown yarn take 6-7 threads with 4”-5” length and make a knot of all together at centre then put this inside. Now there are 6 sts of first round at bottom, insert hook in one by one st and remove one brown st from inside to outside each time. Then from second round also remove one by one stitch out. Lastly remove the twist in each thread of root.

Leaves: We shall make 2 leaves at a time. Make chs with length 20”-22” so that leaves of length 10” will be made. I have to make 110 chs. R1: Inserting wire inside, make sl st 15 on both ends and sc 1 in each ch in between. Fold the leaf in between. Make two moore. Now Bind with white yarn all together in the middle.
