Crochet Toran with Grapes Toran patti, Bandhanwaar, Door Decor, Door Hanging

Friends,

This is my new beautiful Toran design. It has Toran patti with grapes design and Big flowers are attached.

Yarn used Vardhamaan Millenium, hook 3.5 mm. Length 37.5” height 14” and weight 140 gm.

PATTERN:

Make chs multiple of 15 + 10

I made 165+10=175, then + 3 as a first dc.

We have taken 15 x 11 165 sts so we shall get 11 big flowers places. So that we get middle ONE easily otherwise also if we would have started with 15X12= 180 + 10 sts then we would get 12 big flowers, that means two middle and hence you can decorate mid of middle 2 flowers separately.

R1: dc 1 in each ch starting from 4^th ch. (175) First dc is always ch3.

R2: (dc1 in 10 sts, ch5, skip 5 sts) rep till end, lastly dc1 in 10 sts.

R3: [(dc1, ch3, dc1) in the middle 2 dcs out of 10 dcs (that is on 5^th and 6^th dcs), ch3, (5dc-puff, ch2) 5 times in ch5-sp, ch3] rep till end lastly (dc1, ch3, dc1) in the middle space out of 10 dcs, ch3, dc1 in last st.

R4: dc1 on first st, [ ch3, dc1 in ch3-sp, dc1 on 2 dc-sts, dc1 in ch3-sp, ch3, (4dc-puff, ch2 in ch2-sp between two puffs of R3) 4 times] rep till end.

R5: dc1, ch1, [dc1 in ch3-sp, dc1 on 4 dc-sts, dc1 in next ch3-sp, ch 3, (puff in ch2-sp, ch2) 3 times, lastly ch3 instead of ch2] rep till end.

R6: dc1, ch1, [dc1 in ch3-sp, dc1 on 6 dc-sts, dc1 in next ch3-sp, ch 3, (puff in ch2-sp, ch2) 2 times, lastly ch3 instead of ch2] rep till end.

R7: dc1, ch1, [dc1 in ch3-sp, dc1 on 8 dc-sts, dc1 in next ch3-sp, ch 3, puff in ch2-sp, ch3] rep till end.

R8: (dc1 in 10 dc-sts, ch5) rep till end.

Toran patti completed.

Join green yarn at one end. But in the video I have already made half part so I join green yarn at the centre and do accordingly. If not the you can work 4 rows continuously from one end to other end.

R1: (worked from centre to end) ch1, [sc1 on first dc-st, (ch2, skip 2 sts, sc 1 in next dc-st) 2 times, ch3, sc 1 at the edge of grape design including ch-sp, ch3] rep till end.

R2: (worked from end to centre) dc1, [ch4, (dc3, ch2, dc3)shell, in the middle ch2-sp (out of 3sps), ch4, dc3 on the sc-st at the edge of grapes] rep till end.

R3: (centre to end) (dc1 on each of the 3 dc-sts, ch4, shell, ch4) rep till end.

R4: (end to centre) same as R3

R5: (centre to end) as R3

R6: (end to centre) as R3

Here onward we have to work two sides separately. Join yarn at end stitch.

R1: ch3, (shell, ch4, dc3, ch4) rep till last but one dc3 group,

R2: sl st in the middle dc-st, make V (dc1, ch2, dc1) on middle dc-st, remaining part same as R3 means (ch4, shell, ch4 dc3) till end.

R3: same as R1 till last dc 3.

R4: same as R2

Repeat these two rows till there is last V made on dc 3 group.

We have 5 Vs on this side one in the middle and flowers on 5 other side’s V are already made.

So now let us see, how to make big flower in V. First flower we make at corner's V.

Join yellow yarn at V.

R1: (dc1, ch1) 6 times on one side of V, (dc1, ch1) 6 times, in ch2-sp of V, (dc1, ch1) 6 times, on other side of V, cl by sl st, BO.

Join pink yarn in the space before first dc.

R2: sc1, (ch3, tr3 in ch1-sp, ch3-picot by sl st, tr3 in the next ch1-sp, ch3, join by sc in the next ch1-sp) rep . One petal is made in 3 ch1-spaces. Repeat ( to ) 5 more times, cl.

Make such big flowers at each V. Oh!! see how they look! not neat ....

So we have to straighten them and fix them by sewing.

Sew them to each other at one place, and it’s 2 petals with green portion so that flowers will remain stiff and it’s petal will not be turned.

Sew tassels at the joint of two flowers as shown.

Crochet Toran, Bandhanwaar, Door Decor, Door Hanging

Here is the new design for Toran, Bandhanwaar which I made last month. It looks really beautiful.

I used India Hobby yarn which has very bright abd beautiful colors and which is thin and smooth. It's Length 42” weight 145 gm

PATTERN:

Make a ring of ch 5.

R1: dc3, ch3, dc3, ch3, dc3

First dc is always ch3 so starting of each row is sl st 3 till ch2-sp of shell, ch3 turn,…

R2: (dc3, ch3, dc3) shell in first ch3-sp, ch2, (dc3, ch3, dc3) in last ch3-sp.

R3: shell, ch2, dc 1 on third dc (of shell), ch2, dc 1 on first dc of shell, ch2, shell.

Note that when 3 windows are made, means it's a time to make flower.

R4: shell, ch2, dc 1 on third dc, ch1, get a long st, 3 dc-type long sts means incomplete puff at the same place, incomplete puff of 4 dc in next dc-st, incomplete 4dc-puff in next dc, YO pass through all 23 sts, ch1 to fix it (this is 3-puff-tog) three petals made, ch1, get long st, 3dc-puff at the centre of 3 puffs joint (this is 4 th petal), dc on third dc-st of last shell., ch2, shell.

R5: shell, ch2, dc 1 on third dc of shell, ch2, dc1 on next dc, ch2, 4dc- puff at the centre of 4 petals made, (5^th petal made) ch2, 4dc-puff at the centre again, (6^th petal made), ch2, dc on next dc (edge of 4^th petal), ch2, dc on next dc, ch2, shell.

Look at the 3 windows after shell, means it's a time to make new flower at 2 places.

R6: shell, ch2, dc on third dc, ch 1, incomplete puff in ch1, incomplete puff on first dc, incomplete puff on next dc, YO pass through all, ch1 to fix it, ch1, puff in that (4 petals made), dc on edge of 5^th petal of first flower, ch2, dc on edge of 6^th petal, ch1, 3puff-tog at this st and on next 2 dcs, ch1, puff at this st, dc on third dc of shell, ch2, shell.

R7: shell, ch2, dc on third dc of shell, ch2, dc on next dc, ch2, 5^th petal of puff at centre, ch2, 6 th petal of puff at centre, ch2, dc on the edge of 4^th petal, ch2, dc on the first petal of next flower, ch2, 5^th petal at centre, ch2, petal 6 at centre, ch2, dc on 4th petal edge, ch2, shell.

Again 3 windows after shell means make new flowers. Here there are 3 places where we have to make flowers.

R8: shell, ch2, dc on third dc, ch1 incomplete puff, incomplete puff on next dc, incomplete puff in next dc, YO pass through all sts, ch1, puff at centre, dc on edge of 5^th petal of previous row, ch2, dc on edge of 6^th petal, incomplete puff, incomplete puff on first dc, incomplete puff on next puff, 3puff-tog, ch1, 4^th petal at centre, dc on edge of 5^th petal of previous row, ch2, dc on edge of 6^th petal, incomplete puff, incomplete puff on first dc, incomplete puff on next puff, 3puff-tog, ch1, 4^th petal at centre, dc on third dc of shell, ch2, shell.

R9: shell, ch2, dc on third dc, ch2, 5^th petal at centre, ch2, 6^th petal at centre, ch2, dc on 4^th petal edge, ch2, dc on next dc, ch2, 5^th petal at centre, ch2, 6^th petal at centre, ch2, dc on 4^th petal edge, ch2, dc on next dc, ch2, 5^th petal at centre, ch2, 6^th petal at centre, ch2, dc on 4^th petal edge, ch2, dc on next dc, ch2, shell

I made 7 triangles like this. 4 green and 3 pink, place alternately. I join them by grenn yarn. So join green yarn at ch2-sp of one shell of the green triangle so as to work on RS.

R1: dc1 in ch2-sp, skip first dc of of 3 dcs and make dc 1 in remaining 2 dc-sts, dc 2 in each ch2-sp, lastly dc1 on 2 dc-sts, dc1 in ch2-sp of last shell. (36 dcs for one triangle). Repeat this for second pink triangle. And so on….

R2: dc1 in each st by green

R3: same as R2 by pink yarn.

R4: and R5: same as R2 by green yarn.

R6: By green, dc1, (ch2, skip 2 sts, dc1 in next) till end, lastly dc 1 on last st. (There are 84 windows). For flower design we need multiple of 4 windows.

R7: dc1, ch2, [dc on next dc, Incomplete puff here, incomplete puff on next dc, incomplete puff on next dc, 3 puff-tog, complete puff at the joint of 3 petals] rep till end.
