Crochet Candle Stand 4, Diya Holder, Home Decor

 

Hello friends,

This is very interesting Candle stand which I made seeing the similar candle stand made by crape paper. I tried making petals in different ways then finally I got it as it was expected. Then finally such a beautiful piece it ready.

I used Vardhamaan Millenium yarn and 3,5 mm hook.

Diameter 7" and weight 35 gm.

R1: with yellow, ch4, dc 5 in first ch (6 sts)

R2: (dc2 in one st, dc1 in next) 3 times, (9).

R3: (dc2 in one st, dc1 in next 2 sts) 3 times, (12).

R4: (dc2 in one st, dc1 in next 3 sts) 3 times, (15)

R5: (dc2 in one st, dc1 in next 4 sts) 3 times, (18).

Fold to form a cone shape and join first st on opposite side.

R6: sc2 in each dc-sp to form a cone (10 sc sts). BO.

R7: Join pink yarn in the same st, sc 1 in each sc-st along edge of cone, along round side make sc2, hdc2, dc1, (dc1, tr1) in next, tr1 in next, (tr2) in next st, at centre (db tr1, ch2-picot, db tr 1), (tr2) in next, tr1 next, (tr1, dc1) in next, dc1, hdc2, sc2, cl, BO.

Make such 10 petals. Join them at corners as shown.

Now make central portion.

R1: dc15 in magic loop, cl.

R2: dc2 in each st, cl in back loop. (30)

R3: sc1 in back loop of each st, cl (30)

R4 to R8: ch1, sc 1 in each st, cl (30). BO.

Glue this central piece or sew at the centre of the round made by joining 10 petals already made.

Crochet Candle Stand 3, Diya Holder, Home Decor

Hello friends, 

Here is one more Candle stand I made. It's very simple to make. 

I used Vardhamaan Millenium yarn, 3.5 mm hook and some golden beads.

It's inner diameter 2.5", outer 4.5" and weight is 20 gm.

The design can be used as a Bracelet if made by thread or by 1 mm hook and thin yarn.

R1: With purple yarn make dc 15 in a magic loop, cl. First dc is always ch3.

R2: dc2 in each st, cl (30). BO.

R3: with other colour yarn (dark purple), ch1, sc1 in each st, cl.

Make such 10 pieces. Fold them and press. Now sew golden bead at centre and join at centre.

Now take two folded pieces and sew then at two places by beads as shown. 

Then take third folded piece and join it with already joined two pieces.

Thus sew all pieces and make  ring type shape by joining firsth and last. The beautiful Candle stand is ready.

Crochet Candle Holder 2, Diya Stand, Home Decor

 

Hello friends,

This one is the second Candle holder I made of course before Christmas 😛 but posting it so late.

I used Vardhamaan Magnus yarn for this. It is thick and soft yarn. I used some golden beads, pearls etc.

Pattern: 

R1: In a magic loop make dc 16, cl

Nots: first dc is always ch3. (16)

R2: dc2 in each st, cl (32)

R3: In back loop of sts work, (dc1 in one st, dc2 in next) 16 times, cl (48)

R4: (dc1 in 6 sts, ch 6) 8 times, cl.

R5: sl st 2, [sc1 in the mid space of dc6, in ch6-sp (dc6, ch3, dc6)] rep 8 times, cl.

R6: [sc1 in each st, in ch3-sp(sc2, ch2-picot, sc2)] rep 8 times, cl.

Central part: R1: sc1 in each unworked space, cl. (32)

R2, R3, R4: same as R1.

Friends here is a simple design for Candle holder. It's very simple and made for beginners. Actually I made 3-4 Candle holders before Christmas but delay in publishing this post. Sorry but you can make it next year.

Use any left over yarn and 3.5 mm hook.

R1: With colour 1, in a magic loop make dc 15, first dc is always ch3, cl.

R2: dc2 in each st, cl (30).

R3: ch2 (not considered as first hdc) hdc 1 in each st, cl (30)

R4: sc 1 in back loop of each st, cl (30). BO.

R5: dc1 in each st, cl (30). BO.

R5: With colour 2, (ch7, skip 4 sts, sc 1 in next) 6 times, cl.

  

R7: [dc1 on sc-st, ch3, (2dctog, ch3, 2dctog) in ch7-sp] 6 times, cl. 

R8: Join third colour in ch3-sp before 2dctog, make, [sc3 in ch3-sp, ch3-picot made by sc, in ch3-sp make hdc1, dc1, tr2, ch4-picot by sc, dc1, hdc1, ch3-picot by sc, sc3 in next ch3-sp, ch3-picot] 6 times, cl.

The beautiful Candle holder or Diya holder is ready. You can make it in single colour also.
