Crochet Vegetable Basket Part 10: Chilli
Hello friends,
Chilli, most spicy but most essential vegetable. So see the pattern below.
Pattern:
R1: In a magic loop make ch1, sc6, cl the loop but don’t close by sl st, work in spiral.
R2: sc2 in each st, (12 sts)
R3: (sc1 in one st, sc2 in next) 6 times, (18 sts)
R4 to R12: sc 1 in each st (12sts)
R13: 2sctog, sc 1 in each of 16 sts, (17 sts)
R14 and R15: sc 1 in each st (17 sts)
R16: 2sctog, sc 1 in each of 15 sts, (16 sts)
R17 and R18: sc 1 in each st, (16 sts)
R19: 2sctog, sc 1 in each of 14 sts, (15 sts)
R20 and R21: sc 1 in each st (15 sts)
R22: 2sctog, sc 1 in each of 1 3sts, (14 sts)
R23: sc 1 in each st: (14 sts)
R24: 2sctog, sc 1 in each of 12 sts, (13 sts)
R25: 2sctog, sc 1 in each of 11 sts, (12 sts)
R26: 2sctog, sc 1 in each of 10 sts, (11 sts)
R27: sc 1 in each st (11 sts)
R28: 2sctog, sc 1 in each of 9 sts, (10 sts)
R29: 2sctog, sc 1 in each of 8 sts, (9 sts)
R30: 2sctog, sc 1 in each of 7 sts, (8 sts)
Fill fiber.
R31: 2sctog, sc 1 in each of 6 sts, (7 sts)
R32: 2sctog, sc 1 in each of 5 sts, (6 sts)
BO with 5”-6” yarn end.
Now for pedicel and Calyx, with green yarn make ch 1 and sc 8 in a magic loop.
R2: (sc 1 in 1 st, sc 2 in next) 4 times, (12 sts)
R3: (sc 1 in 1 st, sc 2 in next) 6 times, (18 sts). Close by sl st and bind off.
For pedicel, with double yarn make ch 5 and join at the centre of Calyx.
Sew this at the top of the chilli.
