Crochet Vegetable Basket Part 12: Ladiesfinger
Hi,
The next vegetable in my basket is Ladies finger or Okra.
In India we call it Bhindi or Bhendi in Maharashtra.
Here is the pattern.
Make chs 25.
R1: sl st 5, sc 5, hdc 6, dc 8, (24 sts), ch1 turn,
R2: hdc 1 in each st, ch1 turn,
R3: work only in back loop, same as R1, ch1 turn,
R4: hdc 1 in each st, ch1 turn
R5: As R3.
Repeat rows 3 and 4 two more times.
Sew the sides by tapestry needle or by crochet hook.
I have not filled any fiber inside because otherwise it looks like chilli.
Now upper part:
R1: (sc 1 in 1 st, 2sctog next) rep till end on edge of the sewed part.
R2: 2sctog throughout.
Close by tapestry needle.
Stem: ch6, sl st in 5 sts starting from second.
Also by tapestry needle make another end pointed.
Sew the stem to the ladies finger on top.
The following video with English subtitles will help you.
ETC: Enjoy the Creativity.
