Crochet Samai Rangoli, Doily, Tablemat

 

Hi,

How are you all, must be fine and busy in completing your crochet project. Here is one more Samai Rangoli/ Doily. Actually you can make this in left over yarn. Here I used two colors for flower border but you can use as many as you wish because each flower is made separately. Ofcourse it will also look wonderful.

I used Vardhaman Millenium yarn and 3.5 mm hook. It's inner diameter is 4" and outer diameter is 12". It's weight is 56 gm.

PATTERN: With offwhite yarn make ring of chains 60.

R1: [dc1 in 4 sts, dc2 in next] 12 times,, cl (72)

R2: [dc1, skip 1 st, V (dc1, ch2, dc1) in next, skip 1 st] rep till end, cl. (18 Vs)

R3: [dc on dc-st, shell (dc2, ch2, dc2) in ch2-sp of V] rep till end, cl.

R4: [dc on dc-st, (dc3, ch2, dc3) in ch2-sp of shell] rep till end, cl.

R5: [dc on dc-st, (dc4, ch2, dc4) in ch2-sp of shell] rep till end, cl.

Join green yarn at ch2-sp of R5.

R6: [(dc1, ch1) 6 times in ch2-sp, sc1 on dc-st, ch1] rep till end, cl.

R7: [(6dc-puff in each ch1-sp, ch1) 5 times, enlarge the loop, remove hook and insert in first st and get the working loop through it, sl st in ch1-sp between two puffs, ch2, [(dc1 in ch1-sp, ch3-picot by sc in between two dcs) 2 times, in each ch1-sp] 5 times, cl, BO.

Repeat this in each fan. You may use different colors.

You can also make Doily / Tablemat with the same design for that you have to start with,

R1: dc 12 in magic loop, cl (12)

R2: dc2 in each st, cl (24)

R3: [dc1 in 1 st, dc2 in next] 12 times, cl (36)

R4: [dc1 in 2 st, dc2 in next] 12 times, cl (48)

R5: [dc1 in 3 st, dc2 in next] 12 times, cl (60)

and after this work 7 rounds as above. The Doily will look like this.
