Crochet Dolls with Hanging Legs

 

Hi,

Friends I made these dolls with hanging legs for Valentine Day special Home Decor but I fail to post this on my blog at proper time, sorry. Any way it's home decor and you can make at any time.

It's height is 4.5" and weight of both combined is 30 gm. Body of both of them I made same with different colors and their dresses are different.

Yarn used Vardhman Millenium and Hook 1.75 mm.

PATTERN: With light pink yarn,

R1: In a magic loop, ch1, sc6, work in spiral so don't close by sl st. (6)

R2: sc2 in each st. After each round place marker in first st. (12)

R3: (sc1 in 1 st, sc2 in next st) 6 times (18)

R4: (sc1 in 2 sts, sc2 in next) 6 times, (24)

R5:  (sc1 in 2 sts, sc2 in next) 8 times,  (32)

R6 to R11: sc1 in each st (32)

R12: (sc1 in 2 sts, 2sctog next) 6 times, (24)

R13: (sc1 in 1 st, 2sctog next) 6 times, (16)

Then stuff fiber inside.

R14: (2sctog) 6 times, (8)

R15: sc 1 in each st, cl, BO.

                                                     

For dress join dark pink yarn.

R16: ch2, dc2 in each st, cl (16) (ch2 is not our first dc)

R17: ch2, (dc2 in one st, ch1, dc2 in next st) 8 times, cl. (32 dcs and 8 ch1-spaces)

R18: ch2, (dc2, ch2, dc2) shell in each ch1-sp, cl.

Make next border by contrast color.

R19: ch1, sc1 in same st, (dc4 in ch2-sp of shell, sc1 in the gap between two shells) rep till end, cl.

                                                           

HANDS: R1: with skin color make ch1, sc6 in magic loop.

R2: sc1 in each st

R3: (2sctog) 3 times, cl,

Make ch6, keep 6" yarn end to sew and cut the yarn. Sew as shown. Make two hand.

LEGS: Dark pink yarn for shoes. R1: in a magic loop make ch1, sc6

R2: sc1 in each st, cl

R3: sc1 in 3 sts only (Back side of shoes. 

Then join skin color at the middle st of 3 scs we made. Make chains 11, BO with 6" yarn end.

Make two and sew as shown in video below.

After sewing hand and legs make embroidary of eyes, eye brows, lips. After that it will look beautiful as this.

HAIRS: Now with brown yarn make embroidary of hairs on forhead as shown in video.

CAP: R1: in magic loop make ch2, dc 12, cl (6)

R2: ch2, dc2 in each st, cl (24)

R3: ch2, (dc1 in 1 st, dc2 in next) 12 times, cl (36)

Then keep it on head of the doll and see whether the size is OK or not. Some part on back side remains open so we shall make one more half round for 16 sts only.

R4: ch1, hdc1, dc 16, hdc1, cl. Now if we check, the size is perfect.

With white yarn make chs 20, join with our cap at 4 th st from hdc-st and make sc1 in each st around the cap. Then make other cord to tie separately by making 20 chs and joining it with the 4th st to hdc on other side.

Lastly make pompom and attach it at the top centre of the cap. Our beautiful Girl Doll is ready.

Now for Boy Doll make face exactly same as this only we change the yarn color. This time we take light yellow and make face. Then one change you can make as I had. Firx eyes and make embroidary of lips and eyebrow before stuffing so that no extra yarn ends are seen on his head on top.

So we hadcompleted R13 and then stuff.

R14: (2sctog) 6 times, cl. (8)

Then join blue yarn at any st.

R1: dc2 in each st, cl (16)

R2: ch2, dc2 in first st, (ch1, dc2 in next 2 sts) rep till end, lastly ch1, (dc2) in last st. Cl. 

We have 32 dcs and 8 ch1-spaces.

Sl st 2 till ch1-sp.Then hold it as shown and point out sleeves spaces, front and back (8dcs to each part). Place marker.

Now dc1 on front 9 sts (8dc-sts and 1 ch1-sp) then skip (4dcs, ch1-sp, 4dcs) for sleeve and join other part for back side (Joining: make dc 1 inserting the hook in both ch1-spaces and making dc) dc1 by and make dc1 in each st, similarly join other part by skipping stitches for second sleeve. BO.

Join dark blue at the dc-st made in ch1-sp (in the middle). ch2, make dc 1 in 9 sts, (4 in front, 1 at joint and other 4 on back, cl.

Similarly make another part of pant. 

Also make sc-border on both parts of pant and for sleeves.

Muffler:

Then make 30 chs +1 and sc1 in each st from second. Tie it around neck.

Lastly make hands and legs similar to gifl doll with only 2 more chains for length.

Make embroidary for its hair but now in different manner.

Make cap in the same manner as girl doll. But here I need to make one more round.

Make 4 rounds same as girl doll and repeat R4 again so that it will be fit to boy doll.

Lastly make border of single crochet by dark blue color.

Make small pom pom for the cap.

Wow!! look at the friends!! so beautiful!!
