Crochet Shubh Labh Wall Hanging in Round

Hi friends,

Many of my subscribers saw on instagram and request for Shubh-Labh written on round wall hanging. I had already made Square Wall Hanging on which these letters are written,

Writting these letters on rectangle or square is simple compared to writting them on round. But I cannot ignore my subscriber's request, hence I suggest new method to write them by glueing or just like embroidaring. It's very simple if your handwritting is nice otherwise you will have to struggle. But I first took print out if these letters in proper size then making chains and shaping them as the print out, I glue them and comes out very beautiful!!!

Being in USA I used Red and Yellow Red Heart yarns and that sparkle blue is I Love this yarn. Hook 3.5mm. Use some beads for decorating it.

PATTERN of WALL HANGING:

R1: dc 12 in magic loop, cl (12). Note that our first dc will be always ch3.

R2: (dc2) in each st, cl (24)

R3: [dc1 in 1 st, (dc2) in next] 12 times, cl (36)

R4: [dc1 in 2 sts, (dc2) in next] 12 times, cl (48)

R5: [dc1 in 3 sts, (dc2) in next] 12 times, cl (60).

Join Yellow yarn at any st.

R6: [5dc-popcorn, ch2, skip 1 st] 30 times, cl, BO.

Join Blue yarn in ch2-sp

R7: ch1, in ch2-sp make [sc1, ch1, dc1, ch2-picot, dc1, ch1, sc1], sc1 in next..... repeat till end, cl BO.

Then we make 2 dimensional Diya for Latkan. With Yellow,

R1: in magic loop make dc7, cl. ch1, sc2 in last dc, sl st at centre, for flame make ch4, incomplete tr 2, ch4, sl st at centre, sc2 in first dc. (for smaller flame instead of incomplete tr, you may make incomplete dc).

R2: ch3 (as first dc), dc1 in gap, (dc2) in 5 dc-sts, lastly dc1 in gap, dc1 in last st, (total 14 dcs, 2 on each 7 sts) sl st 1 in 4 sts (horizontally), sl st at centre, sl st 1 in 4 st on other side, BO.

Join Red yarn at centre.

Border: ch 1, sl st 1 along 4 chs, ch1-picot. sl st 1 along 4 chs on other side, sl st at centre, BO

Join Peacock color yarn at the ch1-picot of flame, chs 15 and join at one petal in the last round of main round. If you keep Diya at the centre of this round, it will be also a good Wall Hanging.

Now we make 4 more Latkan, two for each wall hanging.

R1: With Peacock color yarn make dc6 in magic loop, BO with 12" yarn end. Get the yarn ends out from centre. Make chs 10.

Now join red yarn at any space between two dcs (out of 6) of R1 above.

R2: dc1 in each space between two dcs, cl.

R3: in each gap between two red dcs make (sc1, ch3, sc1), cl BO.

Attach this latkan on both sides of the Diya we had already attached. Exactly in opposite petal of R7, make the loop of chs 10 for hanging on wall.

Now let's see how to write SHUBH शुभ on one piece and LABH लाभ on other. For that I took print out of these letters with proper size of fonts. Then make chains, first make the upper line on letters, then again make chs, keep them along the letter, shape them and glue.
