Small Crochet Doily for Chaitra Gauri

Hi friends,

Hope you are happy in crocheting. As I explained in my last post in India particularly in Maharashtra these are the days of Chaitra Gauri. Here I made a small Aasan, Doily for Gauri idol. I call this       NIL-KAMAL (Blue Lotus).

Pattern:

I use 4 ply yarn and 3.5 mm hook. It's width is 6.7" and weight 26gm (including beads).

R1: In a mag loop make dc 16, cl.

R2: dc 2 in each st, cl (32).

R3: (dc1, dc2 in next st) 16 times, cl (48).

Join new colour at any st.

R4: [(dc1, ch3, dc1) in one st, ch3, skip 1 st] 24 times, cl (24 Vs and 24 ch3 spaces made).

Sl st 2 and get the st in ch3-sp of V.

R5: ch3 (as first dc), (ch3, sc1 in forth ch) picot made,

dc 4 in the same ch3-space of V,

hold left arm of V in a hand and make dc 6 on that,

first half petal made (it's second part we shall make at last).

[sc 1 in skipped st of R4,

dc 6 in right arm of next V,

(dc4, ch3, sc1, dc4) in ch3-sp of V,

dc6 in left arm of V] (One complete petal and first half petal made)
repeat till end.
At last sc 1 in last skipped st, dc 6 in right arm of V, dc 3 in ch3-sp of V, join by sl st with the first dc.
Sew beads at the ch3-sp of each petal.

The beautiful Nilkamal is ready for Chaitra Gauri.

The following video with English subtitles may help you.

ETC: Enjoy the Creativity
