Crochet Toran , Door Hanging, Door Decor - Toran Hanging Part 2

 

In part 1 we have seen, how to make this simple and beautiful Toran Patti. Now let us make flowers hanging.

Hanging Strips: We use two colours for that Pink and Green. With pink yarn we make strips of 7, 5, 3 and 1 flower. Then with Green yarn make strips of 6, 4 and 2 flowers.

In video I have shown 5 flowers strip. So I explain here that one.

Flower: R1: With pink yarn, ch 4, tr 1 in first ch, (ch 13, tr1 in 4^th ch from hook) 4 times,

R2: tr in last loop, [3 double thread puff (7 sts on hook) YO pass through all of 7 sts, hadc 3 in the gap between tr and puff ] 5 times, tr 1 at last.

make similarly 5 petals in each loop from other side also.

Lastly join by sl st and cl.

Make two sets of 7, 5, 3 and 1 flowers by pink yarn and two sets of 6, 4 and 2 flowers by green yarn.

Then either join them alternately pink and green either horizontally or vertically.

Joining: Join white yarn at the first hdc of third petal of first flower.

sc1, [ch5, tr1 at the joint of 2 flowers, ch2, tr1 in the same place, ch5, sc 1 in the first hdc of the middle petal of next flower] rep till end. At last flower ch9, sc1, ch9 then same pattern on other side.

Then we have to join green strip. So make last sc combine with third petal of pink and green flowers both. Then [ch5, tr1 in the joint of two green flowers, ch1, join with pink flower, ch1, tr1 in same place, ch5, sc 1 combining third petals of pink and green flowers] rep till end. At last again ch9, sc1, ch9 and [ch5, tr1 at the joint of 2 flowers, ch2, tr1 in the same place, ch5, sc 1 in the first hdc of the middle petal of next flower] rep till end. 

Again join next pink strip as explained above.

While joining other set start from flower 1 strip then flower 2 strip and so on.

Joining of both parts with TORAN PATTI. Join white yarn at the top flower.

Ch5 , sc 1 at the middle dc-st of corner, Ch4, skip 4 sts, sc 1 in next green st, tr1 on the design, ch2, skip 1 st, join by sc 1, tr1 in same st, ch4, skip 4 sts, join by sc1 next st and middle petal of flower

Similarly complete other part, sew beads, tassels and complete it.

Apply tassels where ever you want and of what ever colour.

The beautiful toran is ready.
