Crochet Lotus Diya Holder 1 or Candle Stand
Hello friends,
Sorry that I am posting this Diya stand at 11th hour because tomorrow is Diwali and you may not have sufficient time to make it. But I have published this video 8-10 days ago, so those friends who watch Youtube videos on the channel Kalopasak may have seen this.
Actual one of my friend (subscriber of my channel) expressed her wish of making such flower as Diya holder and send me it's photo. Then I tried one for myself and then made it's video. Thus it turns out to be super cute. You can use this as a Candle stand or candle holder also. You can also use it as a home decor or gift item.
For this I used 4 ply yarn and 1.75 mm crochet hook.
It's weight 20 gm and diameter 5.7”.
Pattern:
Make a ring of ch4.
R1: dc 16 in ring, cl. (first dc means ch3)
R2: dc 2 in each st, cl. (32 sts).
R3: hdc 1 in each st, cl (32 sts).
R4: [Petal: ch 9, from second ch make (sc1, hdc 1, dc 1 in 4 sts, hdc 1, sc1) skip 1 ch, join by sl st in next, sl st in next 2 sts] rep 8 times, cl by sl st at the base of first petal.
R5: Other part of petal:[ (sc 1, hdc1, dc 1 in 4 sts, hdc 1, sc1) sc 1 in the st on opposite side, ch1, sc 1 in sc just made, sl st in each st on first part of petal made, sl st in base st] rep 8 times, cl.
R6: ch1 go to back side unworked st, hdc 1 in each st, cl (32 sts).
R7: [Petal: ch 11, (sc1, hdc1, dc1 in 6 sts, hdc1, sc1) join by sl st in same st, sl 1 in next 2 sts] 16 times, lastly make only a sl st instead of 2.
R8: [other side of petal: (sc1, hdc1, dc1 in 6 sts, hdc1, sc1), sc1 in the st on opposite side, ch2, sc 1 in the sc just made, sl st in each st on other side of petal which is already made, sl st at base st]
The following video with English subtitles may help you.
ETC: Enjoy the Creativity.
