Janmashtami Decoration Part 2: Crochet Makhan Mataki

 

Hello friends,

Let's make this Makhan Mataki for Janmashtami Decoration as I have explained in my previous post.

I use Ganga Desire yarn and the yarns which are compatible with that (In USA because I am here now a days). Hook 3.5 mm

PATTERN: With Peanut Color yarn make,

 R1: in a magic loop, ch1, sc6, cl (6)

R2: ch1, sc2 in each st, cl (12)

R3: ch1, [sc1 in 1 st, (sc2) in next] 6 times, cl (18)

R4: ch1, [sc1 in 2 sts, (sc2) in next] 6 times, cl (24)

R5: ch1, [sc1 in 3 sts, (sc2) in next] 6 times, cl (30)

R6: ch1, [sc1 in 4 sts, (sc2) in next] 6 times, cl (36)

R7: ch1, sc1 in back loop of each st, cl (36)

R8: ch1, sc1 in each st, cl (36)

R9: ch1, [sc1 in 5 sts, (sc2) in next] 6 times, cl (42)

R10: ch1, [sc1 in 6 sts, (sc2) in next] 6 times, cl (48).

R11: with Yellow yarn ch1, hdc1 in each st, cl (48)

R12: with Red yarn repeat R11

R13: Again with Yellow yarn repeat R11.

R14: Again with Peanut color repeat R11.

After this we decrease the stitches.

R15: ch1, [sc 1 in 6 sts, 2sc-tog next] 6 times, cl (42)

R16: ch1, [sc 1 in 5 sts, 2sc-tog next] 6 times, cl (36)

R17: ch1, [sc 1 in 4 sts, 2sc-tog next] 6 times, cl (30)

R18: ch1, [sc 1 in 3 sts, 2sc-tog next] 6 times, cl (24)

R19: ch1, [sc 1 in 2 sts, 2sc-tog next] 6 times, cl (18)

R20: ch1, sc1 in each st, cl (18)

R21: ch1, (sc2) in each st, cl (36)

R22: ch1, sc1 in each st, cl (36), BO.

LID: with Yellow, R1: cch1, sc6 in magic loop, cl

R2: ch1, sc1 in back loop of each st, cl.

R3: ch1, [sc1, (sc2) next] 3 times, cl (9)

R4: ch1, [sc1 in 2 sts, (sc2) next] 3 times, cl (12)

R5: ch1, [sc1 in 1 st, (sc2) in next] 6 times, cl (18)

R6: ch1, hdc1 in each st, cl (18). BO.

BUTTER: ch5+2

R1: from third ch hdc 1 in each (5)

R2: ch1, turn, hdc 1 in between each gap

R3: ch1, turn, hdc 1 in between each gap

R4: ch1, hdc 1 in each stitch (3)

R5: ch1 turn, hdc 1 in each gap (2)

R6: ch1 turn, 2hdc-tog, BO.

Sew this to the mouth of the Mataki properly.

Then if necessary sew also the lid to the Mataki.
