Crochet Hanging Plant, Money Plant, Home Decor, In-door Plant,

 

Hello friends, 

This beautiful Money Plant or Hanging Plant really looks very beautiful. Moreover it's easy to make. I made it with Vardhaman Millenium yarn and 3.5 mm hook. For the pot I used 6 ply yarn and same hook. Then also decorated it by some beads.

PATTERN: With Green yarn make leaves,

R1: In magic loop make ch5, tr 6, db tr1, ch1, db tr1, tr6, ch5, sl st in magic loop, close the loop.

R2: sc5 in ch5-sp, hdc1 in first st, 

then we work in the gap between two tr or dbtr. (dc1 in gap, dc2 in next gap) 3 times, 

in ch1-sp (tr1, ch1, tr1), then (dc2 in next gap, dc1 in next gap) 3 times, hdc1 in last st, sc5 in ch5-sp, cl at the centre.

R3: Skip first st, sc1 in 4 sts, (sc2) in each of the next 6 gaps, sc1 in each of the next 5 gaps, at ch1-sp of centre make (dc1, ch2-picot by sl st, dc1), sc1 in 5 gaps, (sc2) in each of the next 6 gaps, sc1 in 4 sts, skip last st, join at centre.

Make such 25-30 leaves. I made 28 and deep them in cold REVIVE liquid to make them stiff. Initially I made chains as shown in next photo but then it didn't remain stiff so I have to use metal wire and hence I unknitted those chains

Hanger Pot: With 6 ply yarn,

R1: in magic loop make ch1, sc6, cl (6)

R2: ch1, sc2 in each st, cl (12) Place marker at first st.

R3: ch1, (sc1 in 1 st, sc2 in next) 6 times, cl (18)

R4: ch1, (sc1 in 2 sts, sc2 in next) 6 times, cl (24)

R5: ch1, (sc1 in 3 sts, sc2 in next) 6 times, cl (30)

R6: ch1, (sc1 in 4 sts, sc2 in next) 6 times, cl (36)

R7: ch1, (sc1 in 5 sts, sc2 in next) 6 times, cl (42)

R8: ch1, (sc1 in 6 sts, sc2 in next) 6 times, cl (48)

R9: ch1, (sc1 in 7 sts, sc2 in next) 6 times, cl (54)

R10: ch1, (sc1 in 8 sts, sc2 in next) 6 times, cl (60). It's width is 4.7".

Then also make same piece from R1 to R10 with brown yarn. This will be the top of the hanging pot.

R11: sc1 in back loop of each st, cl (60)

R12: ch1, sc1 in each st, cl (60)

Repeat this round till the height is 3.5". Then make cord, 

CORD: ch4, dc1 in first ch, (ch4, dc1 in picot like st) repeat this till the length of the cord is 10"-11".  BO.

Then join yarn at 20th st make similar cord BO. Then at 40th st (out of 60 in last round) make similar cord.

Lastly we decorate the by with pearls and golden bead (10 pearls, 1 golden bead, 1small pearl, 10 pearls) Sew such 3 pieces in between two cords (total 9)

Now while assembling this plant, I realised that I should use metal wire in the last round of the leaf so that it would remain stiff. So now I wrapped green paper around the metal wire and make small pieces 6-7 inches. Insert that wire in 3-4 sts of leaf from back side, fold the wire and then wrap that green yarn around the wire.

Then attach these leaves to a long green wrapped wire (as a stem) as shown in the video using green yarn again. 

Make such 3-4 stems and attach all these leaves to the brown top made. Fix all yarn end on the back of brown.

 Stuff some fiber or sponge (I used sponge) in Hanging pot.

 Lastly sew this brown top on the top of hanging pot by single crochet.
