In this series of Samai Rangoli this is very commonly made because Merigold flowers are right there in Dasera or Diwali along with that we use Mango leaves or any other big leaves. Hence I made this forth Samai rangoli. Mango leaves we have already made see,

Let us make first Merigol flower and then those leaves. For both of them I used 3 ply yarn and 1,75 mm hook.
Pattern of Flower: First we see how to make sepal of the Merigold.
Make chs 15+1 with green yarn.
R1: ch1, sc1 in back bump of each st.
R2: ch3 (first dc) turn, dc 1 in each st.
R3: ch3 (first dc) turn. dc 1 in same st, dc2 in each st (30 sts)
Join orange yarn in first st in order to work on wrong side.
R4: dc3 in each st, (90 sts)
R5: ch4, (dc1 in next st, ch4, sc1 in same st, ch4) rep till end, BO keeping 1 ft yarn end.
Now wrap properly with one hand holding sepal part in other hand, (see video).
Then with orange yarn sew and fix the wrapped part. Also with green yarn sew sepal part.
Make as many flowers as needed.
Pattern of Decorative Leaf:
It's width 2.5", length 4" and weight 3 gm.
Make chs 12.
R1: from second ch make sc 1 in each ch (11).
R2: ch1 turn, sc 1 in back loop of each of the 9 sts, (sc3) in the back loop of next st, sc 1 in back loop of next 9 sts,
R3: ch1 turn, sc1 in back loop of next 10 sts. (sc3) in back loop of next st, sc1 in back loop of 8 sts.
R4: ch1 turn, sc1 in back loop of next 9 sts. (sc3) in back loop of next st, sc1 in back loop of 9 sts.
Repeat rows 3 and 4 till R9 and 10.
In R10 make ch5 and sl st in 4 sts as a stem in centre.
The beautiful Leaf is ready.
