Crochet Samai Rangoli 5: Handmade Home Decor: Samai Decoration

 

Hello friends,

In this series of Samai Rangoli, this is the next one. It's 3D crochet and looks wonderful.

Pattern:

Yarn  used 4 ply, hook 1.75mm

Diameter 8”, weight 45 gm

Make ring of chs 60 without twist by yellow yarn.

R1: ch1, sc 1 in each st, cl (60)

R2: (dc1, ch1) 60 times, cl (first dc is ch3) (60 ch1-sp, 60 dcs).

R3: (dc2 in ch1-sp, ch1) rep till end, cl.(120 dcs, 60 ch1-sp)

Join red yarn.

R4: (dc1 on dc-st, ch1) rep till end, cl (120 dcs, 120 ch1-sp). It becomes quite curly.

Join blue yarn.

R5: (dc2 in ch1-sp, ch1) rep till end, cl (240 dcs, 120 ch1-sp)

R6: ch1, (sc1 in ch1-sp, dc7 in next ch1-sp) rep till end, cl.

Join yellow yarn at sc-st.

R7: (sc1 in 8 sts, insert hook in ch1-sp on the round below this working round, elong the st, make sc 1 there) border of one petal made, make such 5 petals,

JOIN by sc to get first flower,

make border of 2 more petals, JOIN with 4^th petal to get lower triangle. 

(make border of 4 petals, join to get flower, make border of 2 petals join to get lower triangle) rep this till end.

For the last flower make border of 3 (instead of 4 as usual), join with second petal of first flower, then make border of 1 petal and join to get triangle, make border to last petal, BO.

The beautiful Samai Decoration is ready.
