Friends, here is the second design of Samai Rangoli.

Yarn 4 ply, hook 3.5 mm. Weight 30 gm, Inner diameter 4.5", outer 10".

Pattern: 

Make ring of chs 54

R1: (dc1 in 2 sts, dc2 next) 18 times, cl (72).

R2: ch1, sc 1 in each st, cl (72) BO.

                                                

Join other colour at any st.

R3:[ (dc2, ch2, dc2) in same st, ch1, skip 3 sts] 18 times, cl (18 shells).

                                                

R4: [(dc3, ch2, dc3) in ch2-sp of shell, ch1] 18 times, cl

R5: [(dc4, ch2, dc 4) in ch2-sp of shell, ch1] 18 times, cl.

R6: [(dc5, ch2, dc5) in ch2-sp of shell, ch1] 18 times, cl.

                                                                                    

Join first colour at ch2-sp

R7: ch1, [sc3 in ch2-sp, sc1 in each of the 5dc-sts, sc1 at ch1-joint, ch2, sc1 in ch1-joint of R6, sc1 at ch1-joint, ch2, sc1 in ch1-joint of R5, sc1 at ch1-joint, ch2, sc1 in ch1-joint of R4, ch2, sc1 at ch1-joint of R3, ch2, sc1 in the middle sc-st of R2, ch2 turn, sl st in sc of R3, , ch2, sl st in sc of R4, , ch2, sl st in sc of R5, ch2, sl st in sc of R6, sc 1 in each of the 5dc-sts] rep till end, cl, BO.
