Bell in Prayer

In my previous post I wrote about Aarti in Puja by Indian tradition and also said that Ghanti as a musical instrument for aarti and also clapping is there in a rhythm.
So here I made Crochet Ghanti. It is very simple.
I use 4 ply wool and 2.5 mm crochet hook.
In magic loop make chain (ch) 1 and 6 single crochet (sc), close by sl st in first sc.
R1:  ch 1, sc 2 in each st, close, (12 sts)
R2: Ch 1, (sc 2 in next st, sc 1 in next) repeat, close by sl st, (18 sts)
R3: Ch 1, sc 1 in each st, close, (18 sts)
R4: As R3
R5: Ch 2, hdc 1 in each st, close (18 sts)

R6: Ch 1, back loop single crochet (blsc) in each st, close (18)
R7: Ch 1, (sc 1 in next 2 sts, sc 2 in next) repeat, close (24 sts)
R8: Crab stitch in each st, close. BO.

Middle pendulum of the bell: Start with ch 3, incomplete dc 3 in third ch from the hook, close by ch through all sts, make ch 7 and take the st out of the bell shape through the central point.
Make ch-3 cord till the required height. BO.

The middle pendulum type portion will look as in fig 2.

You can see Ghanti (Bell) and Shankh (Conch) in every Indian Puja ghar (home temple). See fig 3. Fig 4 shows Conch and Ghanti I made by crochet.
