Crochet Curtain, Ganapati Decoration

 

Hello friends,

Now a days there is much fashion of crochet curtain for doors or for windows. I also made it for windows. It really looks very beautiful. Moreover it is very simple to make. One more positive thing is you can use your all left over yarn and make it. When I made this, it was Ganesh festival season so one small I made for Ganapati decoration.

PATTERN: I use any color (available in may left over stock), hook 3.5 mm

With yellow or any contrast color make R1: ch1, sc6 in magic loop. BO.

R2: with different color, [ch3, 3dctog in same st, ch3, sl st in same st, sl st in next yellow st] 6 times, cl.

Make such different colored flowers. Now you can join them to the green stem by 2 ways. Either glue them or attach them while crocheting the stem.

STEM: with green yarn make, ch10, in 4th ch make dc1, ch1-picot, ch3, sl st at the base st. (one leaf made). 
Now ch3, dc1 in base st, ch1-picot, ch3, sl st in base st, (second leaf made).

Then turn leaf, working yarn along stem, two leaves on 2 sides of the stem, ch1 and fix the leaves, ch10 then join flower. Take 2 threads of two petals and sl st on that then ch5, sl st similarly on other side of petals. ch 10 and 2 leaves again as made before.

In second method of joining fowers. make ch10 and 2 leaves as above. Then instead of ch 10 make chs 25 and then 2 leaves as made previously. And in between these 25 chs glue the flower in the middle position.

As per measurement of my window decided to make one line of 7 flowers. So make stem accordingly. Then simply glue 7 flowers by Fabric Fevicol in the middle of 25 chs.

TORANPATTI: Make chs 101+3 (Nearly 22"). 

R1: From 5th ch make dc 1 in each ch. [Skip 2 sts and make (dc3) in next] rep till end. Lastly ch3, join at first ch, then again [ch3 and (dc3) in the same st as on other side] rep till end, lastly dc1 in first st.  (Actually third ch, out of 5chs made at the starting). BO.

Then join yellow yarn at the gap between any 2 groups of 3dcs.

R2: [(dc3) in this gap] rep till corner. At corner in ch3-sp make [(dc3), ch2, (dc3)] shell, ch1 and again shell on next ch3-sp. Then on other side work similarly (dc3) in each gap between 2 groups of (dc3) of previous round.

R3: Join green yarn at any st. ch1, sc1 in each st, at corner in ch2-sp (sc1, dc1, sc1), sc1 in next 3 sts, skip ch1-sp, sc1 in 3 sts, in ch2-sp again (sc1, dc1, sc1), then again sc1 in each st on other side. cl. BO.

Then attach flower lane properly with this Toranpatti. We get the beautiful Crochet Curtain.
