Crochet Old Kitchen Equipments Part 3, Mortar & Pestle Used for Powedering Spices, Toy for Baby's Kitchen, Khal Batta

Hello friends,

Here I made third old kitchen equipment, Khal-Batta, Mortar and Pestle. This is used to make powder of spices, herbs, medicines etc. Usually it is of iron. This also I made with Vardhman Millenium yarn and 1.75 mm hook. It's height is 1.6", diameter of base 1.5" and weight 8 gm. It's very simple to make.

PATTERN: Khal: Mortar: R1: in a magic loop, ch1, sc6, cl (6)

R2: ch1, sc2 in each st, cl (12)

R3: ch1, [sc1 in 1 st, (sc2) in next] 6 times, cl (18)

R4: ch1, [sc1 in 2 sts, (sc2) in next] 6 times, cl (24)

R5: ch1, [sc1 in 3 sts, (sc2) in next] 6 times, cl (30)

R6: ch1, sc1 in back loop of each st, cl (30)

R7: ch1, sc1 in each st, cl (30)

Repeat R7 till the height is 1.5". (probably 10 rounds more)

Batta: Pestle: R1: in a magic loop, ch1, sc6, cl (6)

R2: ch1, (sc1 in 2 sts, sc2 next) 2 times,cl (8)

R3: ch1, sc1 in each st, cl (8)

Repeat R3 till the height is 2.5".

Then stuff fiber inside. Lastly to make it's shape flat at this end we have to fold this and sew by single crochet those 4 sts together. The Pestle is ready.

The following video with English subtitles may help you.

ETC: Enjoy the Creativity.
