Crochet Toy - Stethoscope | Best Gift to Your Doctor Friend | Showpiece

 

Hello friends, 

Last year I made this Stethoscope on request of one of my Doctor friend Sonal. She wanted to gift this to some of  her friends. She is the subscriber of my Youtube channel KALOPASAK. So I tried to make this in hurry so that I could post it and then she could make it to gift her friends on Doctor's Day 30th March. When I asked her about expected size, she told me 6-7 inches (small size). 

Actually I am Mathematics person (Retired professor and head of Mathematics department in Vidarbh Institute), far away from Doctors. But I saw various photos and tried to make it and I felt that the result was good (or you can say not so bad). At least I am happy with this.

PATTERN: For small size used Hobby Store's this yarn and 1 mm hook. It's length 7" and weight 18 gm.

Ear Nobs: With Blue yarn make,

R1: ch1, sc8 in magic loop, cl. Always place marker at first st.

R2: R3: and R4: ch1, sc1 in each st, cl (8) BO.

Make two.

Now join white yarn at any stitch of first nob.

R5: ch1, (sc1 in 2 sts, 2sctog) 2 times, cl (6)

R6: ch1, sc1 in each st, cl.

Repeat this round till it's length is nearly 5 centimeter. Complete other piece also. Then tie them together to get   6+6 that is 12 stitches.

Hide white yarn ends. Our Ear Frame is ready.

Join blue yarn at any st.

R1: ch1, sc1 in each of the 12 sts, cl.

R2: and R3: same as R1.

R4: ch1, (sc1 in 1 st, 2sctog) 4 times, cl (8)

Tubing: Join white yarn at first st.

R5: ch1, (sc 1 in 2 sts, 2sctog) 2 times, cl (6)

R6: ch1, sc1 in each st, cl (6)

Repeat R6 till the length of this white part is 8-9 centimeter.

Chest Piece Part 1: with blue, R1: in a magic loop, ch1, sc6, cl.

R2: ch1, sc2 in each st, cl (12)

                                                      

R3: ch1, (sc1 in 1 st, sc2 in next st) 6 times, cl (18). BO.

Chest piece Part 2: Now again with blue, R1: ch1, sc6 in magic loop, cl (6)

R2: ch1, hdc 2 in each st, close in back loop by slip st. (12)

R3: in back loop of each st make sc 1 in each st, cl.(12). It will look like a round slice with width.

R4: ch1, (sc1 in one st, sc2 in next st) 6 times, cl (18)

Now place 2 pieces on each other facing right side out side. Sew them by white yarn.

R5: Join white yarn at any two sts (one of each piece), make hdc 1 joining both parts. (18)                                         

Join white yarn in any stitch of upper small circle. Make ch1, sc1 in each of the 12 sts.

Chest piece is ready.

Lastly by tapestry needle join Chest piece with tubing. 

The CUTE Stethoscope is ready.
