This weak I made this beautiful Baby frock which is a part of Baby set. It is made for the newly arrived baby at my son's friend house in USA. It looks wonderful and you can make this in any size.
This one I made is for 9 to 12 months. I used Ganga Glowing star yarn and 3,5 mm crochet hook.
Height 14", width 10".
Pattern: Chs 60+1
R1: hdc 1 in
each ch starting from third ch (60 sts)
Note ch2 in
the starting is not considered as first dc in R1 to R7.
Divide 144
sts as follows,
144 = 20 one
back part, skip 32 sts for sleeve, 40 front part, skip 32 sts for sleeve, 20
other back part
R9: ch2,( dc1 in each st till ch2-space underarm stitches, dc2 on that) rep, lastly dc 1 in each st, cl.
Work always from right side.
R10: ch3, [skip 1 st, shell (dc2,ch1,dc2) in next st] repeat till end, lastly skip one st, dc 1 in last st. (42 Vs, 2dcs)
R11: ch3, shell on ch1-sp of each shell, lastly dc on dc.
R12 to R14 :
same as R11
R15and further rounds: same as R11 only make shell as (dc3, ch2, dc3)
You can add one round of different colour. Repeat till the height is 12.5".
Border:
R1: Join white yarn in ch2-sp of shell. ch2, [dc9 in ch2-sp, sc1 in ch2-sp of next shell] rep till end. Cl.
R2: Join dark pink yarn at sc st, sc1 there, [sc1 in each dc-st, sc1 at joint of two fans] rep till end, cl.
Now join white yarn at the back side of the st where yoke is joint.
R1: sc1 there, [ch2, skip 2 dcs, sc1 in next gap] rep around the end of yoke, cl.
R2: sl st in next ch2-sp, sc1 there, [dc9 in next ch2-sp, sc1 in next ch2-sp] rep till end, cl.
R3: Join dark pink yarn on back side at second dc-st (out of 9). sc1 in each of the 7 dc-sts, hdc 1 in between two pink dcs (one round below), skip first dc-st of next fan] rep till end, cl
The beautiful frock is ready.
