Happy Holi to all my friends. Busy? in playing with colours or making Puran Poli?
This is the new creation specially made for Holi. I used 7 different colours hence I called it Rainbow doily. Ofcourse I know that these colours are not in order, as they are in rainbow. You can take this in any order. This is also the best use of left over yarn.
Fiinal measurements,
Diameter
15.5”, weight 116 gm.
Yarn
4 ply, hook 3.5 mm.
Pattern: Ring
of ch 8.
R2: dc2 in each st, cl. (36).
R3: (dc 2, dc1 in 1 st) 18 times, cl. (54).
R4: dc 1 in each st, cl. (54).
R5: (dc2, dc 1 in 2 sts) 18 times, cl (72)
R6: (dc2, dc 1 in 3 sts) 18 times, cl (90)
R7: dc 1 in each st, cl. (90).
R9: (dc2, dc 1 in 5 sts) 18 times, cl (126)
R10: dc 1 in each st, cl. (126)
R11: (dc2, dc 1 in 6 sts) 18 times, cl (144)
R12: (dc2, dc 1 in 7 sts) 18 times, cl (162)
R13: dc 1 in each st, cl. (162).
Border: Join orange yarn at any st.
R1: [(dc3, ch2, dc3) shell in one st, skip 2 sts, dc 1 in next, skip 2
sts] rep till end, cl.
Sl st till ch2-space of shell.
R2:[ (dc4, ch3, sc1 to make picot, dc4) in ch2-sp of shell, fpdc on dc]
rep till end, cl. BO.
Repeat R1 and R2 of border. Note that here we are working in the space
and not in the st so when we skip 2 sts, we get 3 dcs in between shell-sp and
dc.
Similarly join third colour yarn again 2 rounds below and repeat the R1
and R2 of border till we have to join new colour after R1 in white.
R1: [(dc3, ch2, dc 3) shell in one st, skip 2 sts again shell in next]
rep till end, 6 shells made.Cl.
R2: [(dc4, ch3, sc1, dc4) in ch2-sp] 6 times, cl.
