Hello friends,
The dark red and white are Vardhamaan Millenium 4 ply and pink is Oswal (very nice yarn). I also used crochet hook 3.5 mm. Finally it measures 6" x 5".
Pattern:
R1: With white yarn in a magic loop make puff 8, cl, BO.
Puff: (YO insert in magic loop, YO get 2 long sts) 3 times, (7 sts on hook), YO pass through 6 sts, YO pass through remaining 2 sts, ch1 to fix it.
Join pink in any space between two puffs.
R2: Puff 2 in each space between two puffs of previous round. Cl BO.
Join third colour in any gap.
R3: [ dc 3 in gap between 2 puffs) 3 times, (dc3, ch2, dc3) in next sp] rep 4 times, cl.
R4: [dc 3 in each gap, (dc3, ch2, dc3) at corner means in ch2-sp of previous round] 4 times, cl.
Make one more piece like this.
Place WS on WS and sew 3 sides by R5.
R5: (sc 3 in ch2-sp, sc 1 in each st) combining both granny squares.
Now next round will be worked on open part only.
R6: dc3 in each gap, cl. BO.
Join pink yarn at the gap on one edge.
R7: (dc 2 in gap, ch1) rep till end, cl.
R8: sl st and get in gap, [(sc1, ch3-picot, sc1) in ch1-sp, skip one st, sc1 in next] rep till end, cl BO.
Make a cord by making chs with double thread. Pass it around, sew the bead and make knots to fix the bead.
If you want to decorate it more, sew a show button at centre and join Jari cord at dc st below pink border.
R9: sc 1 in each st around 3 sides of Batawa.
The beautiful batawa is ready.
