One more doily I made for this Sankranti festival. Its simple but beautiful.
For this doily I used black and dark pink yarns in 4 ply with 3.5 mm crochet hook.
Its final diameter is 14.5" and weight 65 gm.
Pattern: Start with black yarn.
R1: In a magic loop make dcs 15, cl by sl st in third ch. (out of 3 chs as our first dc, always our first dc will be ch3).
R2: dc 2 in each st, cl (30 sts).
R3: (dc1, ch1) repeat, cl (30 dcs, 30 ch1-spaces).
R4: Join pink yarn in ch1-sp, sc 1 in same sp, (ch4, tr 1 in next ch1-sp, ch3, dc 7 on tr side, skip one ch1-sp, sc 1 in next ch1-sp) repeat till end (10 petals formed).
R5: Join black yarn at the 4th ch out of ch4 in the starting of each petal, [ch 6, sl st in the 4th ch of the next petal] repeat. We have 10 ch6-spaces.
R6: dc 9 in each ch6-sp around, cl (90 sts).
R7: dc 1 in each st, cl (90 sts)
R9: Join pink yarn at some ch1-sp, [ch4, tr1 in next ch1-st, ch3, dc 8 on tr side, skip one ch1-sp and join by sc 1 in next ch1-sp] rep till end, cl. (30 petals made)
R10: Join black yarn at 4th ch (out of ch4 in the starting of every petal), [ch4, sl st in the 4th ch of next petal] rep till end, cl. (30 ch4 spaces)
R11: dc 5 in each ch4-sp, cl (150 sts)
R12: dc 1 in each st, cl (150 sts)
R13: (dc1, ch1) in each st, cl (150 dc-sts and 150 ch1-sp)
R14: Join pink yarn at some ch1-sp, [ch4, tr1 in next ch1-sp, ch3, dc 9 on tr- side, skip one ch1-sp, join by sl st in next ch1-sp] rep till end, cl (50 petals made). Bind off. Hide the yarn ends.
The beautiful doily as in the first figure is ready.
