Crochet Keychain 1: Heart Shaped: for Sankranti, New Year or Friendship day Gift

Hi, How are you my friends? must be good. You may agree with me that those who are creative always like to gift handmade item on any occassion. In India on 14th of Jan in every year we celebrate Sankranti. This is the only festival in India which we celebrate on a fixed date, only some times it happens to be on 15th Jan. It is the first day when the Sun transit in Capricorn (Makar rashi). For details you may read, Wikipedia artical (don't know why but the link could not be shared. Particularly in Maharashtra, it is specially celebrated "Haladi-Kumkum" function is organized. Ladies, girls are invited for that and "Vaan" is given to them. In Vaan includes some white, peas, small fruits jujubi along with some small gift. Giving gift to somebody gives great satisfaction and pleasure to us. Last year I made many bags as a Sankranti gift. But then I thought that they are too big to give to large number of friends. So this year I make Keychains as a Sankranti gift. All are beautiful crochet keychains shown in fig 2. When we wish to somebody or we present something to somebody, we always say by heart or from bottom of my heart and that's why I made my first keychain as Heart shaped keychain and ofcourse I made it by heart

Pattern: R1: In a magic loop make, ch3, tr3, dc4, tr1, place marker in this st, dc4, tr3, ch3, sl st in magic loop.

R2: sc 2 in ch3-space, (dc3) on each of the next 3 sts, dc1 in next 3 sts, (dc2) in next, in next corner st make (dc1, tr1, dc1), on other side go in reverse order that is, (dc2) in next, dc 1 in 3 sts, (dc3) in each of the next 3 sts, sc 2 in ch3-sp, sl st at the st below central st.

R3: skip first st, sc1 in next 2 sts, (dc2) in each of the next 8 sts, dc 1 in next 6 sts, at centre (ch1, tr1, ch1), dc1 in 6 sts, (dc2) in each of the next 8 sts, sc1 in 2 sts, join by sl st.

Make such 2 pieces.

Place wrong side on each other.

Thread 30-35 beads in the yarn. Now sew two pieces by single crochet in each of the edge sts (taking one st from one piece and other st from other piece).

Slide beads alternatly till 1" remains to sew. Then fill some fiber in the heart then sew remaining part. Make a loop of 20 chs at centre to attach the metallic ring. Bind off.

Then thread one bead and fix it, make 12 chs, cut the yarn keeping 6" yarn end. Make such 2 pieces. Sew them at other end by tapestry needle.
