Crochet Fruits Part 9: Crochet Mango

Friends, This is the king of all fruits (as said in India). Moreover it's mango season and I am making mango. WOW!!! There is also one very senty memory with this fruit. My father, (we call him "dada"), liked mango so much that when he was 84 years old, in that summer, one day when there was "aamras" (mango juice) for lunch, he said, "Alka I may not be alive for next summer season of mango n?" and realy he was not........ Memories.... some times brings tears in eyes, some times brings laughter on our face...... Pattern: I used Vardhamaan 4 ply yarn and 3.5 mm crochet hook. Note that we shall work in spiral so don't close the round by slip stitch rather place marker at the firat at of each round. R7: (sc1 in 2 sts, sc2 in next) 6 times, (24 sts) [Note: In video I have increased the stitches as shown above but the alternate way is, R4: (sc 1 in 3 sts, sc2 in next) 3 times, (15 sts) R5: (sc 1in 4 sts, sc 2 next) 3 times, (18 sts) R6: (sc 1 in 5 sts, sc 2 next) 3 times, (21 sts) R7: (sc1 in 6 sts, sc 2 next) 3 times, (24 sts), after that same as R8 and ahead. R11: sc 1 in each st, (34 sts) R12: sc 1 in 10 sts, (sc 1 in 3 sts, sc 2 next, sc1 in 3 sts) twice, sc 1 in 10 sts, (36 sts) R13: (sc 1 in 5 sts, sc2 next) 6 times, (42 sts) R14: (sc 1 in 3 sts, sc2 in next, sc1 in 3 sts) 6 times, (48 sts) R15: to R20: sc 1 in each st, (48 sts)

R21: (sc 1 in 3 sts, 2sctog next, sc 1 in 3 sts) 6 rimes, (42 sts) R22: sc 1 in each st, (42 sts) R23: (sc 1 in 5 sts, 2sctog next) 6 times, (36 sts) R24: sc 1 in each st. (36 sts)

R25: (sc 1 in 2 sts, 2sctog next, sc 1 in 2 sts) 6 rimes, (30 sts) R26: sc 1 in each st, (30 sts)

R27: (sc 1 in 3 sts, 2sctog next) 6 times, (24 sts) R28: sc 1 in each st. (24 sts)

R29: (sc 1 in 1 st, 2sctog next, sc1 in 1 st) 6 times, (18 sts)

R30: (sc 1 in 1 st, 2sctog) 6 times, (12 sts) Fill fiber.

R31: 2sctog throughout. (6 sts) Next two rounds with brouwn yarn. R32 and R33: sc 1 in each st (6 sts). BO.
