Crochet Doily 8 with 3D Design for Laxmi Pujan 1
Hello friends,
After the big project of Jewellery sey for haldi ceremony, I made this small doily with 3D design. It's width is 16.5" and wool required is 70 gm.
Pattern: Make a ring of ch 8.
R1: ch3, dc 23 in a ring, cl by sl st in third ch.
R2: ch5, skip 1 st, (dc 1 in next, ch2) rep. till end, cl. (12 windows formed). Fig 2.
R3: ch5, skip 1 st, (dc 1 in next st, ch2, dc1 on dc, ch 2, bud in next window, ch2) rep till end, cl. (6 buds, 6 windows)
Bud means: dc 4 in ch2 gap, turn on wrong side, sl st in first dc, turn on right side. Fig 3, 4 and 5.
R4: ch5, dc 1 on dc, [that is window on window, ch2, bud on ch2-sp before previous round bud, ch2, bud on ch2-sp after the bud in previous round, ch2, dc1 on dc] rep, cl.(6 groups of 2 buds, 6 windows). Fig 6.
R5: [window on window, bud 1 in each of the 3 ch 2 spaces in between buds of previous round]rep, cl (6 groups of 3 buds, 6 windows). Fig 7.
R6: [window on window, bud 1 in each of the four ch2-sp] rep, cl, (6 group of 4 buds, 6 windows) Fig 8.
From next round we decrease number of buds and also start a new leaf shape of buds.
R7: ch3+2, [bud on next window, ch2, dc on dc, ch5, (skip one bud in previous round, bud in next ch2-sp, ch2) 3 times, ch5, dc on dc, ch2] rep, cl. Fig 9.
R8: [ (bud in ch2 sp, ch2) twice, dc on dc, ch6, bud in between two buds, ch2, bud in between 2 buds, ch6, dc on dc ch2] rep, cl. Fig 10.
R9: ch3+ch2, [(bud1 in ch2-sp, ch2) 3 times, dc 1 on dc, ch7, bud1, ch7] rep, cl. Fig 11.
R10: ch3+ch2, [bud 1,(ch2, bud 1) 3 times, ch2, dc 1 on dc, (ch2, skip 2 chs (out of 7) dc 1 on next ch) 2 times (thus 3 windows formed), dc 1 on dc, (ch 2, bud 1 in ch2-sp)4 times, dc on dc] rep, cl. Note that on both sides of single bud there are 3-3 windows. In this round we make bud 4, windows 6. Fig 12.
R11: ch3+ch5, [ (bud1, ch2) 3 times, ch5, dc 1 on dc, (ch2, dc 1 in window) 6 times, dc 1 on dc ch2] rep, cl, so in this round we make 3 buds, 7 windows. Fig 13.
R12:ch3+[ch6, bud 1 in between previous 2 buds, ch2, bud 1 in between, ch6, (ch2, dc 1 in window) 7 times, ch2, dc on dc] rep, cl. In this round we make bud 2, windows 8, Fig 14.
R13: ch3+ [ch7, bud, ch7, dc on dc, (ch2, dc 1 in window) 9 times, ch2, dc on dc] rep, cl. In this round we make bud 1, windows 9.
BORDER: R14: dc1 on edge of bud, dc on each dc of previous round, dc 7 in ch7 gap, dc 2 in ch2 gap.
Actually I am working one more round for border but the yarn with me ends up and hence I sew only these small pom pom at each end.
Beautiful doily as in fig 1 is ready.
The following video may help you.
ETC: Enjoy the Creativity.
