Crochet Socks with One Granny Square

 

Hello everyone,

Look at the beautiful and very very easy Socks made by just one granny.

It  is made for the length of the foot 9". Weight 57 gm (32 gm Orange and 25 gm Green) Yarn: Ganga Olivia, Hook 3.5 mm. You can make these shoes for any size, just measure the length of the foot and make granny with size of the side less than 0.5" or 0.7" less than the measure of the foot measured. If you want you can pass cord or ribben for fitting well (as shown).

PATTERN: Start with Orange yarn and for alternate round change the color.

R1: In magic ring make (dc3, ch3) 4 times, cl. Instead of sl st in first st make ch1, hdc in first st, so that the working loop is now at the mid of the corner. But don't cut the yarn. Join green yarn at the same st.

R2: (dc3) in this corner, (dc3, ch3, dc3) in 3 corners, dc3 again in first corner ch1, hdc1.

R3: Pick up orange yarn, (dc3) in same gap, [(dc3) in next gap, (dc3, ch3, dc3) in next gap] 3 times, (dc3) in next, (dc3) at first corner, ch1, hdc1.

R4: Pick up orange. (dc3) in same gap, [{(dc3) in next gap}2 times, (dc3, ch3, dc3) in next gap] 3 times, {(dc3) in next}2 times, (dc3) at first corner, ch1, hdc1.

R5: Pick up green yarn. (dc3) in same gap, [{(dc3) in next gap}3 times, (dc3, ch3, dc3) in next gap] 3 times, {(dc3) in next}3 times, (dc3) at first corner, ch1, hdc1.

Repeat in this way till the length of granny square is 9".

Then contract one side and sew it by tapesty needle. It will look like flower as in first photo below.

From back side it will look like first photo below. This is toe side. Then sew ahead till four (dc3) groups are together as in second photo.

Then fold the side below (in first photo above) and sew back side 

The sock or shoe is ready. Make another one with the same pattern.
