Crochet Sweater for 7 to 8 Years Kid

Hi friends,

How are you all? must be busy in making sweaters etc for your lovely kids, me too. Here I made Full sleeves sweater for my grandson. It's very very simple even beginners can make it. I made it in three colors and amazing combination itself looks so cute that no need to have any special stitch. I made it in a top-down way. Three colors I used are Brown color (A), Biscuit color (B) and Cream color (C).

The pattern is....

Make chs till it's length is 17". I have to make 80 chs.

Make a ring of chs 80 (Be careful that chains should not get twisted).

NECK BAND: With color A make, R1: ch2, dc1 in each st, cl (80) [ch2, not considered as first dc].

R2: ch2, (fpdc 1, bpdc1) repeat till end, cl.

R3: ch2, (fpdc on fpdc, bpdc on bpdc) repeat till end, cl

R4, R5, R6, R7: same as R3. Lastly BO.

Now we divide these 80 sts in 5 parts as follows.

80 = 10 sts for half back part + marker in next +18 sts for sleeve+ marker in next+20 front sts, marker in next st + 18 sts for sleeves+ marker in next+ 10 sts for half back part.

Join color B on other side (other than where we ended the last round of neckline). Combination of colors you may change as per your choice.

R1: dc1 in 10 sts, V(dc1, ch1, dc1) at marker's st, dc18, V in next, dc 20, V in next, dc10, cl. (84 dcs and four ch1-sp)

R2: dc1 on each dc-st, new V in each ch1-sp of V, cl. (92 sts, four ch1-sps)

Here in each round 8 sts increases due to 4 new Vs.

Change color after each pair of rounds. Round 3 and 4 with color C. Round 5 and 6 with color B and so on or as per your choice.

After R3: 100 sts, 4ch1-sp, after R4: 108 sts, 4ch1-sp, It's 4". Repeat till it's height from top is 6".

Repeat R3 and R4 with biscuit color. After R5: 116 sts, 4 ch1-sps, after R6: 124 sts, 4ch1-sp,
then same two rounds with Brown color and then with Biscuit color again.
After R7: 132 sts, 4 ch1-spaces, R8: 140 sts, 4 ch1-sps
After R9: 148 sts, 4 ch1-sps, R10: 156 sts, 4 ch1-sps. It's height is 6".
After 10 rounds, number of sts in each part will be,

20 one half back part+38 sleeves st+ 40 front+38 other sleeve+ 20 other half part of back=156 sts

Then we skip all sleeve stitches and join front, back and work them.

R1: [dc1 in each st till ch1-sp, dc2 in ch1-sp, ch5 as under arm sts, skip sleeves sts, dc2 in next ch1-sp] rep 2 times, dc 1 in remaining sts, cl.

R2: [dc1 in each st, dc7 in ch5-st] 2 times, dc 1 in remaining sts, cl.

Change color after 2 rounds, keep design as it is.

R3: dc1 in each dc-sts, cl

Repeat R3 till the length from top is 15.5".

BORDER: Join brown yarn at any st.

R1: ch3, (fpdc1, bpdc1) rep till end, cl.

R2: ch3, [fpdc on fpdc, bpdc on bpdc] rep till end, cl

Repeat R2 till R6. BO. Now the length is 17.5"

Sleeve: Maintain the color combination.

R1: [dc1 in each dc-st, dc2 in dc-space, dc1 in between 2dcs at underarm dcs] rep, cl.

R2: dc1 in each st, cl.

Total sts 50-51. Then we decrease 2 sts after every 2 rounds,

R3: ch3, 2dctog, dc1 in each st till last 2 sts remain, lastly 2dctog, cl.

Repeat this till the sts are 35 or 36.

Number of strips in sleeves will be same as number of strips in main body so that the length of sleeves is equal to the length of sweater. Lastly also make border.

Similarly make other sleeve. The simple but beautiful sweater is here.

Beautiful Crochet Frock for 1.5 to 2 Years Baby Girl, Baby Dress, Make in Any Size

Hello friends,

How are you. Preparing for winter in India, right? So if you planning to make a baby frock for your baby or for your grand daughter then here is one beautiful design. I made this for my grand daughter who is 1.5 years old. So I made the frock for 1.5 to 2 years baby girl in Red Heart and Big Twist yarns from USA. Red heart is thick yarn. But in any yarn from India also you can make it comfortably because I had used the hook 3.5 mm and not 4 or 5 mm which is recommended for that yarn also I shall tell every measurement in inches.

It's height is 18", width 12" and weight 243 gm

PATTERN: With light purple make chs 50 (approximately 11").

R1: From third ch make hdc 1 in each st (48 sts) (First 2 chs are not considered as first hdc)

R2: ch2 turn (these ch2 not considered as first dc), [dc1 in 3 sts, (dc2) next] 11 times, lastly dc1 in 4 sts, (59 sts)

R3: ch2 turn, [ dc1 in 4 sts, (dc2) next] 11 times, dc 1 in last 4 sts (70 sts)

R4: ch2 turn, [ dc1 in 5 sts, (dc2) next] 11 times, dc 1 in last 4 sts (81 sts)

R5: ch2 turn, [ dc1 in 6 sts, (dc2) next] 11 times, dc 1 in last 4 sts (92 sts). BO.

Join dark purple in first st in order to work first row on wrong side.

R6: ch3 (as first dc), skip 1 st, [V means (dc1, ch2, dc1) in next st, skip 2 sts] repeat till end, at last skip 1 st and dc in last st. (30 Vs made)

R7: ch3 (first dc), [fpdc on right part of V, in ch2-sp of V make shell (dc2, ch2, dc2), fpdc on left part of V] repeat till end, lastly dc 1 on last dc-st.

R8: ch3, [make V (dc1, ch2, dc1) in ch2-sp of shell] rep till end, lastly dc 1 on last dc-st.

R9: same as R7.

Now length of Yoke is 4" [If it's not 4" in your case then repeat R8 and R9 again or you may work out one more round before starting this border, means you can work R6 as [dc7, (dc2) next] 11 times, dc4 lastly (103) and then start border.]

Note: For larger size 2.5 to 3 years make yoke 4.5", for 4-5 years make yoke 5".

Here after we shall work in round. Now we divide this in 5 parts as follows.

There are 30 designs (as in R6 there are 30 Vs). Divide them as 4 designs for one back part, place marker in 4th design, skip 7 designs for sleeve, marker in next, 8 designs for back, marker in last 8th design, skip 7 designs for other sleeve, marker in next, 4 designs for other back part (including marker's design).

Join light purple at first st.

R1: ch3, V(dc1, ch2, dc1) in ch2-sp of shell] in 3 shells;

in 4th shell means in marker's shell make (dc1, ch2, dc) then again (dc1, ch2, dc1) in same shell,

skip 7 designs for sleeve, again in marker's design make 2 Vs means (dc1, ch2, dc) then again (dc1, ch2, dc1) in same shell,

then Vs in 7 designs, again 2 Vs in marker's design, skip 7 designs, 2 Vs in marker's design again, lastly V in 3 shells. dc on last st, join by sl st.

(In all we have 20 Vs and 2 dcs extra)

For larger size make 3chs extra as underarm chs in R1 and in R2 make dc3 on those 3 chs.

R2: ch3 turn, [(dc1 on dc-st, dc3 in ch2-sp of V, dc on dc-st])2 times, ch1] repeat till end, cl. (we have 102 dcs and 10 ch1-spaces)

(In short after every 10dcs we have ch1-sp except first and last where we have ch1-sp after 11 sts)

R3: [dc1 on dc-st, ch1-sp on ch1-sp] repeat till end, cl

R4: ch3 turn, [ dc 1 in 9 sts, dc2 on next, ch1] rep 9 times lastly dc10, (dc2), ch1, cl. (10 sts increased)

Make next 2-3 rounds without increasing then again increase but this time increase at first st out of group of 11 sts, (e.g. (dc2) in first then dc 1 in 10 st)

Make such lower part till the height is 14.5" then we have to make dark purple border again.

In last round we have 8 groups of 13 sts and 2 groups of 14 sts, moreover 10 ch1-spaces.

Total stitches are 130+2+10=142 (considering ch1-sp as st) which is not multiple of 3 so while working first round of border (when we make Vs) always skip 2 sts but at last 3 st.

Border Round 1 with dark purple: [V(dc1, ch2, dc1) in one st, skip 2 sts] rep 47 times, cl. (Lastly instead of 2sts we have to skip 3 sts)

R2: ch1, [fpdc on right part of V, in ch2-sp of V make shell (dc2, ch2, dc2), fpdc on left part of V] repeat till end, cl.

We repeat the design 2 more times, means make, R3 and R5 as R1 and R4 and R6 as R2.

The beautiful frock is ready.
