Crochet Diwali Special Wall Hanging 2, Show Piece

Hello friends,

One more show piece I made for Diwali. It's wall hanging, very simple and very beautiful. Again I made it with the same rings which I got from the packing of a crokary set which I purchased recently. See my last post for details. It's Card board ring with 3" diameter. So you can use any metal ring with the same diameter instead of this.

One more beautiful piece which my subscriber Pramila made, when I published this video. I liked her way she attached Panati (Diwali Diya). She also used another color for the stem of each petal. So want to share it with you with her permission.

I used Vardhaman Millenium yarn, hooks 3.5 mm and 1.75 mm. Also you will need some decorating items as beads pom pom or bell, whatever you want to use.

PATTERN: As in my previous post I have not wrapped the yarn around the ring. For R1 use 3.5 mm hook.

R1: sc1 around the ring to cover it ( see video), cl. BO.

Join turquoice color yarn at any stitch.

R2: ch1, sc1 in same st, sc1 in 2 sts [ch8, sc1 in each ch starting from second, sc1 in next 3 sts]

R3: sl st in next sc-st. On 7 scs made for stem of petal make, [{sc1, hdc1, dc1, (dc2), dc1, hdc1, sc1}, join by sl st in the middle sc-st] 17 times, cl, BO.

Panati: This time I made little smaller Diya than in my previous post.

R1: ch1, sc6 in a magic loop, cl

R2: ch1, sc2 in each st, cl (12)

R3: ch1, [sc1 in one st, (sc2) in next] 6 times, cl (18)

R4: ch1, [sc1 in 2 sts, (sc2) in next] 6 times, cl (24)

R5: [dc1 in 7 sts, (dc2) in next] 3 times, cl (27)

R6: ch1, sc1 in each st, cl (27)

Then make 3dc-puff at the same st, ch3, join by sl st on back side of puff, BO.

Glue this diya at the centre. Also Sew some beads Latkan at centre.

Lastly make loop of chs 25 to hang it on a wall.

The beautiful wall hanging is ready.

Crochet Diwali Special Wall Hanging, Show Piece

Hello friends,

This year October is the Diwali month so I made this Show Piece or Wall Hanging as a Diwali special. It looks beautiful on any wall. Last month when I purchased Crokery then in the packing of plates I got these card-board rings. I didn't dear to throw it. I decided to make some show piece with this. I just picked up one and give it DROP shape and wow! it looks amazing. So I decided to decorate that shape and make show piece - wall hanging.

I used Vardhaman Millenium yarn, beads, 1.75 mm hook, also 1 mm hook to thread beads and Glue gun.

First wrap the purple yarn around the Drop shape to cover it thoroughly. Place some glue at the starting and end of wrapping.

Then make 11 petals as follow.

PETAL: With light color yarn make ring of chs 8.

R1: dc 24 in the ring, cl.

R2: Sl st in 12 stsm ch1, move bead, sl st 12, sl st in opposite side's first st, cl, BO.

Then sew 2 stitches at the end (other than bead) to  get better shape and hide the yarn, cut. Then warm it on candle.

Also make one Panati and one tassel.

PANATI: First thread 15 beads in red yarn.

R1: In a magic loop make ch1, sc6, cl

R2: ch1, sc2 in each st, cl. (12)
R3: ch1, [sc1, sc2 in next] 6 times, cl. (18)
R4: ch1, [hdc 1 in 2 sts, (hdc2) in next] 6 times, cl. (24)

R5: ch1, [sc1 in 7 sts, sc2 in next] 3 times, cl. (27)

R6: [dc1 in 8 sts, dc2 in next] 3 times, cl (30)

R7: [hdc1 with bead, hdc1 without bead] 15 times, cl.

Then make a big tassel with bead and join it with the drop at centre.

Glue all petals as shown.

After completing the piece will look very very beautiful as in picture one.
