Crochet Baby Set: Frock

 

Hello friends, 

This weak I made this beautiful Baby frock which is a part of Baby set. It is made for the newly arrived baby at my son's friend house in USA. It looks wonderful and you can make this in any size.

This one I made is for 9 to 12 months. I used Ganga Glowing star yarn and 3,5 mm crochet hook.

Height 14", width 10".

Pattern: Chs 60+1

R1: hdc 1 in each ch starting from third ch (60 sts)

Note ch2 in the starting is not considered as first dc in R1 to R7.

R2: ch2, (dc 1 in 3 sts, dc2 in next) 14 times, dc 1 in remaining 4 sts, (74 sts)

R3: ch2, (dc 1 in 4 sts, dc2 in next) 14 times, dc 1 in remaining 4 sts, (88 sts)

R4: ch2, (dc 1 in 5 sts, dc2 in next) 14 times, dc 1 in remaining 4 sts, (102 sts)

R5: ch2, (dc 1 in 6 sts, dc2 in next) 14 times, dc 1 in remaining 4 sts, (116 sts)

R6: ch2, (dc 1 in 7 sts, dc2 in next) 14 times, dc 1 in remaining 4 sts, (130 sts)

R7: ch2, (dc 1 in 8 sts, dc2 in next) 14 times, dc 1 in remaining 4 sts, (144 sts)

Divide 144 sts as follows,

144 = 20 one back part, skip 32 sts for sleeve, 40 front part, skip 32 sts for sleeve, 20 other back part

R8: Join back side stitches and from this step work in round. ch2, dc1 in 20 sts, ch2, skip 32 sts, dc 1 in 40 sts, ch2, skip 32 sts, dc1 in 20 sts, cl. (80 sts, 2 ch2-spaces)

R9: ch2,( dc1 in each st till ch2-space underarm stitches, dc2 on that) rep, lastly dc 1 in each st, cl.

Work always from right side.

R10: ch3, [skip 1 st, shell (dc2,ch1,dc2) in next st] repeat till end, lastly skip one st, dc 1 in last st. (42 Vs, 2dcs)

R11: ch3, shell on ch1-sp of each shell, lastly dc on dc.

R12 to R14 : same as R11

R15and further rounds: same as R11 only make shell as (dc3, ch2, dc3)

You can add one round of different colour. Repeat till the height is 12.5".

Border:

R1: Join white yarn in ch2-sp of shell. ch2, [dc9 in ch2-sp, sc1 in ch2-sp of next shell] rep till end. Cl.

 

 R2: Join dark pink yarn at sc st, sc1 there, [sc1 in each dc-st, sc1 at joint of two fans] rep till end, cl.

Now join white yarn at the back side of the st where yoke is joint.

R1: sc1 there, [ch2, skip 2 dcs, sc1 in next gap] rep around the end of yoke, cl.

R2: sl st in next ch2-sp, sc1 there, [dc9 in next ch2-sp, sc1 in next ch2-sp] rep till end, cl.

R3: Join dark pink yarn on back side at second dc-st (out of 9). sc1 in each of the 7 dc-sts, hdc 1 in between two pink dcs (one round below), skip first dc-st of next fan] rep till end, cl

The beautiful frock is ready.

Another Simple Doily with Frill Border

 

Hello friends, 

How are you all? Hope fine. We are here in Vidarbha, facing high temperature and dry atmosphere. Still in such a summer I made this small doily.

Pattern:

Flower: In a magic loop make (dc 1, ch2) 10 times, cl

Petal: (ch10, dc 1 in each st from 4^th ch, join by sc1 in next dc-st) 10 times, cl, BO.

Flower made, now join purple yarn at the edge of any petal.

R1: sc 1 on edge of petal,( ch7, sc 1 in next petal-edge) rep lastly ch7, cl.

R2: dc9 in each ch7-sp, cl. (90 sts).

Note that, always first dc means ch3.

R3: (dc1 on each dc-st, dc 1 at the joint) 10 times, cl (100 sts).

R4: dc1 in each st, cl (100 sts).

Join pink yarn at any st,

R5: ch1, hdc 1 in each st, cl (100 sts).

R6: Work this round only in back loop of each st. (dc 1 in 9 sts, dc2 next) 10 times, cl (110 sts).

R7: (dc 1 in 10 sts, dc 2 in next) 10 times, cl (120 sts).

R8: dc 1 in each st, cl (120 sts). BO.

R9: Join pink yarn in any st. sc 1 in the same st, make V as (tr1, ch2, tr1) in same st, (first tr means ch4), (ch3, skip 3 sts, make V in next st) till end lastly ch3 and join by sl st. (30 Vs made).

R10: [dc 6 in ch2-sp of V, then dc 8 in left arm of V sc1 in the middle purple st (which are skipped), dc 8 in the right arm of V] rep till end, cl.

Crochet Doily with Triple Border / Thalposh / Mandalam

 

Hello friends, 

This simple but cute doily I made for my friend as a gift. It is very simple to make but very beautiful and I hope that she will live it.

I use Vardhamaan 4 ply yarn and 3.5 mm hook.

Its diameter is 21" and weight is 130 gm. You can make it in two colours or even in one colour.

Pattern:  R1: In a magic loop make (dc1, ch2) 12 times, cl Note that first dc is always ch3.

 R2: (dc3 in ch2-sp, ch1) 12 times, cl. 

Note: In each round we make dc 3 in ch1-sp

R3: [skip first 2 dcs, dc1 on next 1 st (out of 3 dcs in above round), dc3 in ch1-sp, (total 4 dcs), ch1]

 12 times, cl. 

R4: [skip 2 dcs, dc1 on remaining dcs of previous round, dc3 in ch1-sp, (total 5 dcs), ch1] 12 times, cl. 

R5: [ skip 2 dcs, dc1 on remaining dcs, dc3 in ch1-sp, (total 6 dcs), ch1] 12 times, cl. 

R6: same as R5 (it will be dcs7, ch1) .

R7: same as R5: ( it will be dcs8, ch1) 

R8: same as R5: (it will be dcs9, ch1) 

Thus after R13: we will have (dcs 14, ch1) 12 times. 

Join dark brown colour for first border at any ch1-space, ch1.

R1: [(dc1, ch4, dc1) (V made), skip 1 st, sc1 in next, (ch3, skip 1 st, sc1 in next) 3 times, skip 1 st]

rep till end, cl 

There are 18 Vs made. 

R2: [dcs 9 in next V, sc1 in next ch3-sp, (ch3, sc1 in next ch3-sp) 2 times] 18 times, cl. 

R3: ch6, sc1 in4 th ch from hook, [(dc on dc, ch3, sc1 in gap to form picot) till last dc (out of 9 dcs

in previous round), dc on last dc, sc1 in next ch3-sp, (ch3, sc1 in next ch3-sp) 2 times] rep till end, cl. BO. 

Join wooden colour yarn at first dc in previous round. 

R4: [bpdc1 on first dc, ch3, bpdc1 on 3rd dc ch3, fpdc1 on 5th dc, ch3, fpsc 1 on 7th dc,

ch3, fpdc 1 on 9th dc] rep 18 times, cl by sl st in second ch. 

Note that very first fpdc means fpsc1, ch2. 

R5: sl st in first ch3-sp, [(sc1 in ch3-sp, ch3) 3 times, sc1 in last ch3-sp,

make V in next gap (between last bpdc of fans and first fpdc of next fan)] rep till end, cl. 

R6: same as R2 above.

 R7: same as R3 above. 

Join white yarn at first dc. 

R8: same as R4

R9: same as R5

R10: same as R2

R11: same as R3.
