Crochet Toran (Door Hanging), Door Decor, Bandhanwar

Hello friends, This week I have again made one door decor and one doily matching to that. Here is the pattern for door decor. I used 4 ply yarn Pink, White and Green and crochet hook 3.5 mm. Pattern: Make chs 160+3. R1: From forth ch make dc 1 in each st. (161 sts)

R2: ch3+1, (skip 1 st, dc1 in next, ch1) rep till end lastly dc 1 in last st. (80 windows).

R3: ch3, dc 2 in each gap, (161 sts). Bind off and join green yarn.

R4: ch4, skip 1 st, V in next, V means (dc1, ch2, dc1) in same st, (skip 3 sts, V in next] rep till end, lastly ch1, skip 1 st, dc 1 in last.

Bind off green and join pink yarn. R5: ch3+2, (puff in V, ch2) rep till end lastly ch2, dc 1 in last st. Puff means: (YO insert in V, YO get 2 long sts) 6 times, YO pass through all sts, ch1 to fix it.

Bind off pink and join white yarn. R6: ch3, dc 1 in first gap, dc 4 in each gap, dc 1 on last st. Join green yarn.

R7: As row 4. Join pink yarn.

R8: As row 5. R9: As row 6.

R10: As row 2. R11: dc2 in each window, dc 1 on last st, (161 sts). BO. Border: On both vertical sides make dc 2 in each gap with white yarn. Hanging Part: We first make white rings. Make (ch5, tr1 in first ch, then ch1, sc8 in tr-side and sc9 in ch-side, join in first ch by sl st) rep this and make a lane of 8 rings.

Make such 5 lanes.

Tessel: With green yarn, wrap 10 times on a card board of 4.5". Cut yarn, remove wrapped yarn and make sc 20 by pink yarn.

Get first and last sc close and wrap pink yarn 6-7 times on combined green part then fix it by knot. Cut the yarn keeping 7-8 inches yarn end.

Take a bead as big as the pink hole made, thread one bead in that and get the yarn out on opposite side.

Make such 7 tassels.

Then roughly place the 5 rings lanes and 7 tassels as you want to join them.

Calculating the spaces where to join place markers and sew at last.

Simple Crochet Cap for Adults by Ribbed Stitch

Hello friends, Last week here we face strong winter and that's the reason why I made three caps one after other for adults. As before this I made only one adult's cap and that too Summer hat, see my post But this is totally different being winter special hat which covers the ears and protects us. I made two caps for my hubby. This is very simple and can be made in any size for male or female. Getting measurements is very important. Circumference of head 22" and height 11".

This caap is started by chs equale to the required height of the cap that is 11". For 11", I have to make 50 chs. R1: ch3, dc 1 in each of the 40 chs starting from 4th ch, hdc 1 in each of the 3 sts, place marker at the first hdc st, sc 1 in 7 sts. Turn, (Note that we don't make ch1 before turn) (50 sts after every row)

R2: Here after we work all rows in back loop only. sc 1 in back loop of each of the 7 sts, hdc 1 in the back loop of 3 sts, slide marker, dc 1 in the back loop of each of the remaining 40 sts, ch3 turn.

R3: dc 1 in back loop of each st till marker, hdc 1 in back loop of 3 sts, sc 1 in back loop of 7 sts. turn,

Repeat rows 2 and 3 till the height becomes equal to the circumference of the head.

Lastly sew tha side.

Then pass the tapestry needle through the sts on single crochet side and get the stitches close. Tightly make the sts close and bind off.

The cap is ready, isn't it very simple!!!

Crochet Doily with Three Leaves Design

As I have written in my previous post, this is the doily in which the same design of three leaves, I have tried in round. It really looks beautiful. I also wanted to make one change in this doily design which I felt actually after I finished the doily. That change is that instead of making only chains in between leaves, I should have make mesh design or windows design. But then I didn't dare to undo all that. So I am OK with this. I used 4 ply yarn in three colours and 3.5 mm crochet hook. It's diameter is 23" and weight Pattern: The puff stitch part is made in light shed which we call Badami (like almond). B stands for Badami, W for white and G for Green. With B colour, make a ring of ch 6. Ring of ch6 R1: ch3, (puff 1, ch2) rep, cl

First puff: ch3, (YO insert in ring, YO get 2 long sts) 5 times, there are 11 sts on hook, YO pass through all of them. Other puffs: same as above except initial ch3. R2: In each ch2 gap work (puff1, ch2, puff1) separated by ch2, cl.

R3: [puff on the puff of previous round, ch2, (puff1, ch2, puff1) in ch2-sp, ch2] rep, cl.

R4: [puff in the first ch2-sp, ch1, (puff, ch2, puff) in nexh ch2-sp, ch1, puff in next gap, ch4] rep, cl.

R5: [puff1, ch1, puff1, ch1, puff 1, ch7] 6 times, cl.

R6: [puff in the gap, ch1, puff in next gap, make sc1 on ch7 of round 5 and ch4 of round 4 combine, ch 7] 6 times, cl Six petals made.

R7: Join white yarn at the second round. (Ch3, sc 1) on the st going up around the petal, then on the top of the petal make sc 4 in ch2-sp, sc 1 in next sp, (ch3, sc 1) going down the petal, Repeat this for all 6 petals.

R8: Continue with petal colour again.[sc 7 on ch7-sp, ch5, sc7 on next ch7-sp, ch5] 6 times, cl.

R9: Join green yarn, [(dc3, ch3, dc3) in ch5-sp, ch7, dc3 in the middle st of ch5- sp, ch7] 6 times, cl.

R10: [dc1 on 3dc-st of previous round, ch4, dc 3 on previous rounds 3dc-sts, ch7, (dc 2, ch2) on each of the 3 dc-st, ch7] 6 times, cl.

R11: [dc3, ch5, dc 3, ch6, {(dc2 on first dc, ch1, dc2 on second dc) first leaf started, (ch2, dc 2, ch2) middle stem, (dc2, ch1, dc 2) second leaf started] 6 times, cl.

R12: [dc3, ch6, dc3, ch5, {(dc3,ch1,dc3) first leaf, (ch2, dc2, ch2) stem, (dc3, ch1, dc3)second leaf} ch5] 6 times, cl.

R19:[dc3, ch27, dc 3, ch9, {2dctog, ch1, 2dctog} second leaf, ch9] 6 times, cl. R20:[ dc 3, ch 27, dc3, ch11, {skipping ch1, 2dctog} second leaf complete, ch11] 6 times. BO green yarn.

R21: With white yarn make dc 1 in each ch and on each dc-st, cl.

R22:With puff flower colour, puff1 in same st, (ch1, skip 1 st, puff 1 in next st) 4 times, turn, sl st in next gap, puff 1 in each gap separated by ch1, (3puffs made), turn, sl st in gap, ( puff1, ch1) 2 times, BO.

This make puffs 4,3 and 2. R23: Join white yarn at the first puff made, ch3, sc 1 in between 2 puffs till top on top make ch4 instead of 3 and repeat around each petal shape.
