Crochet Doily with Pineapple Design:

Hello friends, How are you? hope fine. This time I made one simple doily, "Pineapple doily". Pineapple design is beautiful and always exciting. So this is simple doily using that pineapple pattern. I used yellow and brown 4 ply yarns and 3.5 mm crochet hook. Pattern: Make a ring of ch4, R1: dc 20 in the ring, cl. Note that the first dc is always ch3. R2: (dc1, ch1) rep till end, cl

R5: shell in each ch2-sp [shell means (dc2, ch2, dc2) in ch2-sp], cl.

R6: (shell in shell, ch2) rep, cl R7: (shell in shell, ch3) rep, cl R8: (shell in shell, ch4) rep, cl R9: (shell in shell, ch5) rep, cl R10: (shell in shell, ch6) rep, cl

R11: Join yellow yarn in ch2 sp of some shell, [shell on shell, ch 5, dc1 on each of 2 dcs of next shell, dc4 in ch2-sp, dc 1 on next 2 dcs of previous shell, (in all 8 dcs made), ch5] rep, cl

R12: [shell on shell, ch4, (dc1, ch1) 8 times, ch4] rep, cl R13: [shell on shell, ch4, sc 1 on first dc-st, (ch5, sc1 on dc-st) till last dc-st, (7 ch-5 loops)ch4] rep, cl

R14: [shell on shell, ch4, (sc1 in ch5-sp, sc1) rep, (6 ch5-loop) sc 1 in last sp, ch4] rep, cl

R15: [ shell on shell, ch 4, (sc1 in ch5-loop, ch5), (5 ch5-loops), ch4] rep, cl R16: In each shell make (shell 1, ch2, shell 1),ch4, sc 1 in ch5-loop (4 ch5-loops), ch4] rep, cl

Here after we don't work in round, we separately complete one by one pineapples. Join yellow yarn in third ch2-sp in a shell. Row1: shell on shell, ch3, sc1 in ch5-loop, (ch5, sc 1 in ch5-loop) (3 ch5-loops), ch3. Turn, sl st till ch2 of shell, R2: shell on shell, ch3, (sc 1 in ch5-loop, ch5) rep (2 ch5-loops), ch3. turn, sl st till ch2-sp of shell R3: shell on shell, ch3, (sc1, ch5) (1 ch5-loop), ch3, turn, R4: shell on shell, ch3, sc1 in ch5-loop, ch3, shell on shell. turn,

R5: shell on shell, shell on shell, turn, R6: sl st till the last two dcs of first shell, incomplete dc1 on both sts, incomplete dc on 2 dc-sts of next shell, YO, pass throufh all 5 sts. BO.

Crochet Bookmark - Peacock Feather

Hello friends, When I decided to make book marks as a Sankranti Vaan (gift). I become nostalgic and the memories of the bookmark, I used in my childhood, started wondering around me. How my friends and me gathered different feather with various colours, textures and how there was an unsaid competition among the feathers we have. I also remember that among all feathers. peacock feather was our most favorite. Peacock feather is always one of the nostalgic memories of childhood. I know, everyone of us have kept peacock feather in book, it is priceless possession in our life at that time. Hence I decided to make "Peacock Feather" as my first bookmark. I know that we can try as much as we can; but the beauty of peacock feather, its colour its glaze, its satin texture .... no comparison with our piece made by wool. But still I tried it, fig 2. Lateron I also made four more bookmarks as in fig 1. I use 4-5 colours for that, Sky blue, dark purple, dark pink, peacock colour, yellow, green etc and 1.75 mm crochet hook. Pattern: R1: By dark purple colour yarn, in a magic loop make ch3, dc 15, cl by sl st in third ch. (16 sts)

R2: With sky blue yarn, ch1, make sc2 in each st, cl (32 sts)

R3:With dark pink, ch1, sc 1 in each of 5 sts, hdc 1 in 3 sts, dc 1 in 5 sts, tr2 in next st, tr1 in next, (tr1, dbtr 1, tr1) in central st, tr1, (tr2) in next, dc 1 in 5 sts, hdc 1 in 3 sts, sc 1 in 4 sts, cl(36 sts)

R4: with peacock colour, ch2, hdc 1 in 5 sts, (hdc2) in next, dc1 in each of the next 10 sts, (dc2) in each of the next 2 sts, (dc1,tr1,dc1) in the next central st, (dc2) in next 2 sts, dc1 in 10 sts, (hdc2) in next, hdc 1 in 4 sts, cl

R5: with nevy blue colour, (sc2, ch2-picot) rep till end. Adjust to bring picot at centre.

Make chs 35 for cord and attach the colourful pom pom. Also make yellow embroidery as shown, at centre.

Also make some green embroidery and the peacock feather is ready.

Crochet Keychain 5: Slipper Shaped: Sankranti Vaan / Gift Item

Hi friends, December started, don't understand how this year passed away. Near about the whole year at home due to Corona, no helpers so very busy. But happy with my crocheting and knitting. So for the next month festival "Makar Sankranti" I made this "Slipper keychain" as Vaan for my friends. Pattern: Make chs 11. R1: sc2 in second ch, sc1 in each of the next 4 sts, hdc 1 in each of the next 4 sts, dc5 in last corner ch, hdc1 in 4 sts, sc1 in 4 sts, sc 2 in next st, join by sl st on coner st,

R2: ch1, (hdc2) in each of the next 2 sts, hdc 1 in 8 sts, (hdc2) in next 5 sts, (hdc 2) in next 5 sts, hdc 1 in 8 sts, (hdc2) in next 2 sts, join by sl st. Make ch 8-loop for attaching the metallic key chain.

Make similar piece with red colour. Now join red colour at 12th st from loop by front post sl st, see fig,

ch8, join at opposite st by front post sl st.

Next row: ch3, skip 2 sts on same side and join by front post slst,

make dc 1 in each of the remaining 8chs, skip 2 sts and join by front post sl st

Now sew two soles togethwe by slip st around each st by red colour.

Crochet Keychain 4 - Gift Item for Sankranti / New Year: Minibag

Hi, Here I am giving pattern for Minibag keychain. Pattern: R1: In a magic loop make ch1, sc 8, cl by sl st in first sc, (8 sts) R2: ch1, sc 2 in each st, cl (16 sts) R3: ch1, (sc2 in one st, sc 1 in next) rep, cl (24 sts)

R4: ch1, sc 1 in each st, cl (24 sts)

R5: ch1, (sc2 in one st, sc 1 in each of the next 2 sts) rep, cl (32 sts)

R6 to R11: ch1, sc1 in each st, cl (32 sts).

R12: ch1, sc 1 in 5 sts, ch 10, skip 6 sts, sc 1 in each of 10 sts from seventh st, ch 10, skip 6 sts, sc 1 in remaining 5 sts, cl by sl st in first sc.

R13: sc 10 in ch10-loop (handle), if necessary make 1 or 2 sc more, sl st in each st till second ch10-loop, sc 10 in that loop, sl st in each st till end, cl.

Crochet Keychain 3: Shirt: Sankranti Vaan / New Year Gift / Christmas Gift

Friends, this is the next keychain I made. I know that it is common type but to give them as a gift makes no difference. Pattern: Make a ring of chs 28. R1: ch3 (as first dc), dc 1 in next 3 sts, (dc2, ch1, dc 2), called shell, in next st, dc 1 in next 5 st, shell in next, dc 1 in 7 sts, shell in next, dc 1 in 5 sts, shell in next, dc 1 in last 3 sts.

Note that first dc means always ch3, R2: dc 1 in each st till ch1-sp of the first shell is there, now fold the piece and make dc 1 on joining next ch1-sp, again dc1 in each st till the third ch1-sp is there, make dc 1 joining both ch1-spaces.

R3, R4 and R5: dc 1 in each st, cl, BO.

Now join white yarn at the bottom joint st of every round. Lower Border and Button Band: sc1 in each st, cl when completed. Now make sufficient chs to cover that joint as if it is button band, join at neck st by sl st.

Neck Band: [sc 1 in each st till the corner (or the shell-st), 2sctog] rep, cl Collar: ch5, sl st in second ch to get a pointed edge, dc1 in same st, 2dctog, dc2 in next st, hdc 1 in 3 sts, sc1, sl st in each st till the last 8 sts remain, sc1, hdc 1 in 3 sts, dc2 in next, (2dctog in next),ch1-picot at last. BO.

Sleeves: Join white yarn at some armhole st on back side, dc1 on each st, cl Similarly make other sleeve. Sew a show buttom or chs-bow.

Crochet Keychain 2 for Sankranti Vaan (gift): Frock Keychain

This is the next design in keychain. I made variety of keychains so that when you will gift it your friends will have choice. I love this frock design very much for keychain. Pattern: Note: First dc will be always ch3. Make a ring of ch 15. R1: ch3, dc 29 in the ring, cl by sl st in third ch. (30 sts)

R2: ch1, sc 1 in each st, cl (30 sts)

R3: (dc1 in one st, dc 2 in next) 4 times,[skip 7 sts, (dc1, dc2) 4 times] repeat once, join by sl st. (24 sts)

R4: (dc2, dc1) rep, cl (36 sts)

R5: (dc2 in one st, dc 1 in each of the next 2 sts) rep, cl (48 sts) R6: Join green yarn at any st, ch1 sc 1 in same st, (skip 1 st, dc 5 in next st, skip 1 st, sc1 in next) rep till end, cl

Border for sleeve: Now join green yarn at some st at sleeve, ch1, sc 1 in same st, sc 2 in each of the next st around, lastly sc 1 in first st, cl. Make border to other sleeve also.

Once the green borders are done, either make a bow of 15 chs and sew it to the mid of frock or sew some show button. Make ch 8 loop to attach the keychain.
