Simple and Beautiful 3D Crochet Lotus, Home Decor, Diwali Special Showpiece

This Lotus is very beautiful and simple to make. I also made it's Hanging Showpiece. For Diwali decoration it is very beautiful and usefull.

I used Ganga Desire yarn for this. It remains stiff which is good for this project because we are not inserting any wire in the petals here. Hook 3.5 mm.

PATTERN: Layer A: Make a ring of chs 12.

R1: from 2nd ch make [chs 8, sc2, hdc1, dc2, sc2, sl st 1 in next 2 base sts] rep 8 times, cl.

R2: [sc2, hdc3, sc2, in ch1-sp make (sc2, ch2, sc2), then from other side, sc2, hdc3, sc2, sl st in between] 6 times, cl. BO.

Join other color at first sc-st.

Border: R3: ch1, [sc2, hdc3, sc3, in ch2-sp (sc2, ch2, sc2), from other side also make sc3, hdc3, sc2, sl st in base st] 6 times, cl. BO.

Layer B: Make ring of chs 16.

R1: [chs 9, from 2nd ch (sc2, hdc1, dc3, sc2, sl st 2 in base st] 8 times, cl.

R2: [sc2, hdc4, sc2, in ch2-sp (sc2, ch2, sc2), other side also sc2, hdc4, sc2, sc 1 at the joint of petals in R1

                               

Join Border color yarn at first sc-st.

R3: [sc2, hdc6, sc2, in ch2-sp (sc2, ch2, sc2), from other side make sc2, hdc6, sc2, sl st at base] 8 times, cl.

Make Layer 3 same as Layer B.

Centre: R1: In magic loop make ch1, sc6, cl.

R2: in back loop only make (sc2) in each, cl (12)

R3: in back loop only make sc1 in each, cl. (12)

R4: (2sctog) all over, cl (6)

For Lotus hanging, I have actually made one layer A and other layer B only. But for the Lotus flower above I made 2 layers of B type and 1 of A type.

Glue layer A on layer B, then glue this centre. Lotus is ready. For Hanging showpiece attach some beads and Tassel Latkan to this.

Then I attached some beads and Tassel and made a 15 ch-loop for hanging it.

For simple Lotus I have 2 pieces of Layer B and one piece of layer A on that then centre. It looks really amazing.
